Opinion: Roger Goodell is done

About time. The NFL is having themselves a full fledge hell storm and it's raining PR issues.

Not sure he is done, but this is really bad to be caught in a blatant lie.

i doubt it. goodell works for the owners and the owners love him.the funny thing about this whole deal is people are so upset with the nfl for their punishment but what about the prosecuter who let him off with a hand slap. it won't even be on his record. alot of this outrage should be own the prosecutor who's job it is to unhold the law. it should'nt fall on the nfl to punish players a thousands times more than the law does

i am not sure about him being fired,he makes 44 million a year.he will probably find a scapegoat for this.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't weather this. You don't get to his position without knowing when and how to not tell the actual whole truth nor how to get oneself out of an apparent hole. But it might catch him. I'm not a big fan. I liked the old fashioned guys.

Goodell will be fired. He has no credibility left after this.

In other news, an unnamed law enforcement official in Atlantic City has mysteriously "disappeared".

Sleeping with the fishes?

On a more serious note: This article proves nothing. I'm sure someone (TMZ?) will be able to find the Goodell/NFL electronic paper trail verifying or disproving this story. For now it is a non-story.

I can hear it now, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"... Oh wait wrong case :)

This isn't about Ray Rice anymore. This is about a massive cover-up. Goodell no longer has the credibility to hand out suspensions and judgments.

The NFLPA will demand his resignation, or they'll strike.

The owners have no choice.

Cover-up or not, the NFLPA has a legitimate complaint concerning Goodell's power. Maybe the owners and the union can agree on a committee that dispenses penalties/judgments/supsensions.
