Whats your opinion? out of all the FA's left who is the best and best fit for us?

Second what would you offer the Lions for both Joey and Charles Rogers? I know Charles has had problems but he has the talent to be a great receiver and Joey in the right offense with a teams support I think could also be a VG QB. So what would you give?

Yeah- those two. Good short term fixes allowing us to draft for the future.
Would not give up more then a 6th rd pick for Rogers- if people give JJ crap for being injured imagine what they would say about Rogers? Harrington- maybe a 5th.

Did we resign Roy, Witten, TNew, or Bradie James to any long term contracts yet? Just wondering.

theogt - totally agree with you. If we resign the above soon-to-be FAs, Sowell, and Coleman, I'd be extremely happy going into the draft.

Arrington or Law.

Nothing for Harrington, a 2nd for Rogers.

Are the Lions shopping Rogers? I think they plan on keeping him. Arrington is the best fit for the Cowboys, but he wants too much money.

Right now it's slim pickings in terms of available FA's....Marcus Coleman name is being tossed around for obvious reasons because of the Parcells connection. Of course Ty Law and Charles Woodson would be my first choices, but they aren't natural safeties, might cost too much $$$, and might not be willing to play a new position.

Here are a five other safetys i have comtemplated as well:
1) Kim Herring - injury prone as of late, but might be worth a look if the price is right
2) Lance "sargent" schulters: another veteran that might have something left at the right price
3) Keoin Carpenter: has been pretty solid starting for atlanta
4) Reggie Tongue: Some say he was the better tackler in NY playing with Coleman
5) Tebucky Jones: Another solid veteran with coverage skills.

I would give a 4th in 2007 for Harrington and possibly a 5th in 2008 if the pot needed to be sweetened. The best case scenario would be to deal Romo to the Saints for 3rd this year and then deal that to Detroit for Harrington. We would then end up with a swap Romo for Harrington which I would take any day of the week.

Other than that there aren't any FA left that I feel would be a good fit here. I would like to see Offense in the draft and wouldn't mind dropping out of the 1st round altogther if we can get a 2nd and 3rd for it. I think that FS can be found in the second day. A few Olinemen and a WR late and I think we could be in good shape at the beginning of TC

All of the above. Though the 2nd goes for both Harrington and Rodgers, with another 2nd day pick or two added in.

I am the best FA left on the market.

Im 6'7 run a 4.35, have the hands of a WR and the power of a DE with the vision of Peyton Manning

Rogers is going into his 4th year pro, and only played in 15 games (only started 9). Has created a history of drug problems, with his failed drug test. And has less than 450 yards receiving in his NFL Career.

Hardly worth a first day pick... That and he has at the very best one more year left on his deal. He'll be cut in either 2007 or 2008, even if he blows up, they'll trade him.

Lance Schulters, FS, ex-Dolphins-- lacks flashy stats, but he always seems to be part of a pretty fair pass defense...

Antuan Edwards, FS, ex-Falcons-- has bounced around the league some, but is a solid talent...

Cedric Woodard, DT, ex-Seahawks-- his career has been oft-derailed by injuries, but he might be worth a look as a 3-4 DE, a NT, or a 4-3 DT...

Kendyl Jacox, C, ex-Saints... has been stuck backing up LeCharles Bentley, is pretty good his own self...

Grey Ruegamer, C/OG ex-Packers... can back up any of the interior OL positions...

Chris Claiborne, ILB, ex-Rams... all the measurables, size and speed, but the Rams weren't exactly the best defense around, were they??

If you're interested in a coupla sleepers, try CB Kenny Wright (ex-Jaguars), who might have the size to move to FS, or massive DT Terdell Sands (ex-Raiders)... or maybe FB Jerald Sowell (ex-Jets), a good enough blocker who can catch the ball some, which Parcells requires his fullback be able to do... I also personally like Ifeanyi Ohalete, even if he's not the fastest safety out there (and the Boys really need a little more speed at the position)... he's big and physical, and could back up at either safety position...

Charles Woodson would have made the list, but I rather doubt that Boys will be interested in him, because of his injury history and his contract demands...
