In the last two games he has a combined 11 tackles, has a fumble recovery, and looks more of a factor than Durant. With his size it's like we have a 5-2 formation, and I see some improvement in stopping the run (will be more pronounced with Lee's return for sure.)

Durant is a good player and has the edge in pass protection, but not by much and it's an area Wilber can continue to sharpen. The Sam comes out in the nickel also.

Improvement stopping the run?

Wilber has flashed, but its hard to really tell if he's handling all of his assignments consistently. Durant might not have had the same big plays, but you knew he would be where he was supposed to be.

Yes, he is one of the players that I've focused on when reviewing both the Giants and Raiders games. I'm impressed.

Against the Raiders, he made several good plays. I only noticed 1 obvious negative play.

The 11 tackles and 1 fumble recovery are good considering that as the SLB, he probably played less than 50% of the defensive snaps.

I'm not so sure about that. Durant may know where he needs to be, but takes bad angles getting there. He always seems a step too late.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I don't care who plays that position, just so long as it's the best man for the job. I trust the coaches to make that call.

hopefully, competition at the position breeds success....time will tell...I am happy with hearing Wilbur's name a bunch of late...don't forget that he was on the line until 2 games ago, he still has a ways to go to acclimate himself more to the position....so far, so good
