In an effort to offset the post mini-camp letdown, I thought I'd throw this out to the masses to give us another topic to argue about.

In looking at the possibility of the Jaguars signing Darren Sharper, I was wondering what folks thought of their former first-rounder Reggie Nelson and if anyone thinks that he might take the Campo-express and follow former Jag Gerald Sensabaugh to Dallas?

I know Nelson was a once highly-regarded first round free safety candidate who has been a dispoointment to date in Jacksonville after a solid rookie season under Campo's coaching.

Just a connect-the-dots topic to give folks something to talk about.

I would be 100% down with signing him! He was a stud in college and a ball hawk.

Reggie Nelson has been dreadful in the NFL, I'd much rather go with the guys we have now.

Why is Reggie Nelson so good? B/C he was a 1st rounder? So was Jason Allen.

But by all means pick up the scraps the Jags are going to throw away

He's been absolutely horrible there, they cant wait to replace him.

I guess for the league minimum he wouldnt be bad to come to camp with if he's cut before, but anyone expecting much from him is going to be sadly disappointed. He's the epitome of a bust.

caught several Jag games last year, tackling is a foreign notion to Reggie Nelson

So, other teams fail at first round picks too? No way. Say it ain't so. Otherwise, the JJ haters will be upset.

Ball>Nelson, Hamlin>Nelsin, AOA>Nelson, Church>Nelson

No thanks to Nelson.

Didn't say that ... said that the Ball love is pretty similar to the "Watkins is going to step it up" love from a few years ago. Ball is a nice backup.... but he's not a starter.

Yeah, that's kinda why I brought it up.

I find it funny how Ball's stock suddenly rises after the team doesn't get immediate help in the draft.

Juts like Robert Brewster's stock has risen sonehow since we didn't get LT help either.

I know he had a terrible season for them last year, but I read that they had him playing out of position at corner and he struggled there.

My thinking was that Campo may like him and he had his best szeason as a rookie playing for 'Uncle Dave'.

And it gives us something to talk about.

I also give players a bit of a mulligan when they struggle in Jacksonville, I mean who doesn't?

They are still pursuing Sharper if that tells you much.

And Nelson made a bit of a stink over the weekend when he stated to the ESPN that he was not happy being moved over to CB in nickel situations last year and that he did not want to do it again.

No thanks to Nelson.

That's funny that three players who have never taken a snap for us are better than him. You should be a psychic or a scout for sure man

Brewster's stock rose after DaBoys4Life 's dislike of him.

McCray
