On a side note: can we find another phrase to use when talking about Allan Ball besides 'Ball-love'? I do a spit take every time I read that.

I'm thinking Ball-supporter has a nice comfortable sound to it.

Ball started last year, and did already. Watkins started 1 game in his career and did not play particularly well in it.

Reggie Nelson has been dreadful in the NFL, I'd much rather go with the guys we have now.

I read on the Jags board that Nelson SUCKS! He cant cover, tackle and is completely useless.

They keep giving him time because he has abilities, but doesnt translate to the field?

Alan Ball is adequate, and he didn't screw-up last year. It's only fair to give him a shot at the starting job this off-season.

But come on! ya'll need to get off his nuts and stop suckin' up to him with all this 'Ball-love.' The images in my head are starting to get disturbing.

I remember he looked good his first year. I just looked it up, 5 ints. Jaguars team fell off since then. Maybe he just needs some support. Id bring him in for sure to play centerfield
