i ask this question because i haven't been around as long as some of you.

when did this become the norm? i don't remember it in the 90s. did it happen before that?

why do teams feel so comfortable to disrespect us like this?

do you think charles haley would allow this?

it really is starting to bother me that nobody on our team steps up and handles these *******s who keep doing this.

The star is the most recognizable logo in American sports outside of the Yankees logo. Of course players are going to bash it.

When we started allowing cowards and wimps rule over the NFL. Refs are at fault as well, they are cowards.

Persoanlly, I think the NFL should fine players and call flagrant fouls when they do that to IP/logos of any frsanchise.

But it's allowed now. And while I don't lik it, how can we as fans be offended by it when our own Dallas Cowboys players and coaches seem to not care that opponents dog the star? If anything, this passive, ho-hum attitude by our team upsets me much much more.

i understand that, but you didn't answer my question....when did it start?

This is the last thing I can think about at this time. We can actually start becoming a winning franchise, so anyone who does it will look foolish because ultimately, we'll be in the Super Bowl.

Jacobs pantomime was vulgar for national tv.

my friend, it has always been allowed. but players are using their right more these days. when did it start and why don't our players respond?

so you think it started once we started losing?

I don't remember anyone doing it until TO started it.

But years ago, you'd just go kick the guy's ***. Now Goodell would probably fine George Teague a bazillion dollars and suspend him for three games.

Paying Newman $8.5 million dollars this season to win the star is more disrespectful than anything an opposing player can do.

as God as my witness, i will personally start a fund to raise money for the next cowboys player that is fined for knocking out anyone who defaces our logo again.

enough is enough.

i cannot believe teague is the last player to actually stand up and do something about it.

It's not that he did it on the Star. It's the "slap 'dat ***" gesture after scoring while standing in the team's logo that should be addressed. It's inappropriate in the way a throat slash is inappropriate. And, given the league's efforts to attract women viewers, I bet it's addressed in some form or fashion this week.

:fact:

He should've been flagged right there. Hopefully the league does something to make up for it.

By encouraging Tony Romo to overthrow him?

became popular with Terrell Owens- but became pretty safe later on- when teams had no respect for us as a team. Disrespecting the star is all about disrespecting the team and the players.

The believe that they can do so with immunity. Back in the day, it was just a sure fire way to getting the team fired up. Now- just a way of disrespecting players who have no stomach, or lack the ability to make it a bad idea for the other teams.

Sure irritates the heck out of me- because that is what they are doing- throwing it in our teams face that they "know" they are better than us- no fear, no respect.

Well it seems like every team that's disrespected the Cowboys by celebrating on the star ends up beating them. The Giants helped open the stadium by beating the Cowboys they don't fear showing the team disrespect.. You would think being disrespected like that would piss off the Cowboys but they simply have no fire like the fans that attended the game. I've never heard 90,000 plus fans sound so quiet. So much for Jerry's claim 3 years ago that the Cowboys would have a big advantage in their new stadium. They're barely over 500 in it.
