I wanted to go, but don't like dealing with the crowds of annoying people when it comes to free stuff. I'd rather just go one day when they are dead and pay for it.

I went by one KFC this afternoon with the wife and 90 yr old father in law. We could not even get into the parking lot at one so we decided to go a couple of miles down the road to another one. There were few cars there so we went inside. On the door was a note saying that This KFC would not be able to honor the coupons today but on another day they would.

We went inside and asked them if they had the grilled chicken available if we paid for it. They said sure. We asked them why they were not honoring the coupons today and the manager told my wife "We gave away over $4000 in meals yesterday. If we gave away that much today we would have to close our doors because it would put us out of business."

It made absolutely no sense to me. But this is the same KFC that told me one day they could not put tomatoes on my chicken sandwhich because it would mess up his inventory. Even when I told him I would pay for the tomatoes, he still said no, he could not do it.

KFC is a joke around here. It is nothing to drive up in the drive thru and they tell you they are out of chicken, out of pot pies, or completely mess up an order. I have been known to drive up to the drive thru and ask for something and know they will tell me they are out just to prove my point.

I gave mine to a homeless guy at the corner. He asked me if I had any Schlitz 40-ouncer coupons.

Dude that was me! :laugh2:

I heard some of the KFC's wouldn't even honor it and some also gave the people who cashed it in 2 wings lol.
