Melvin Ingram, OLB/ DE, South Carolina
Looks great in games and appears to have a good motor. Some risk with the move to OLB. Height (under 6-2) and arm length (30.5”) are below average for an NFL 3-4 OLB.

Quinton Couples, DE, North Carolina
Probably not available at #14. Said to have motivation issues which appears to be the #1 no-no for a Garrett type of player.

Dont'a Hightower*, ILB/OLB, Alabama
Might be too slow as a coverage type linebacker (i.e. ILB in the 3-4). Might be great as a 3-4 OLB, but #14 is really high if the player requires a significant position change. Moving from ILB type to 3-4 OLB is a bigger change than moving from 4-3 DE to 3-4 OLB, IMO.

Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State
I’m not at all in favor of drafting this player at #14. He has size and decent quickness, but playing strength and technique are issues.

A solid pick in the 2nd.
