As of right now they have Israel Mukuamu and Juanyeh Thomas. They could have one of these young guys win the job. They also could move Bland inside and put someone else outside. They could draft another corner or sign a free agent to play outside.

They could sign Mike Hilton to play the slot. Maybe his price comes down a bit. Remember that Jourdan Lewis got 10 million a year.

They could draft Jihaad Barron to play the slot. He's a good player, but would be a 1st round pick.

A lot of different options, but they need to add to the cornerback room.

Both those players are Safeties. Mukuamu has played CB but he is a S.

They need to add multiple players to the cornerback room.
I noticed that they signed Mukuamu after they lost out on Lewis and another free agent slot guy.

I know he is hurt (and so is Diggs) but I was impressed with Butler last year for a young inexperienced guy throw into the middle of it. With all 3 healthy it would be interesting what they would do. I also wouldn't rule out the Michigan Corner at #12 and then cut Diggs next year and use his money on Bland.

Diggs is out recovering from surgery . Butter who showed promise is out even longer . Better draft a corner early play opposite Bland . Tre Amos Ole Miss round 3 fits the bill .

Troy Pride Jr is 27 been in the league had a nice last game of the season against Washington . Let him compete for slot CB and draft an outside corner .

I could be wrong, as I often am, but I feel like we're done at corner in free agency. We had to replace Lewis and needed a starting corner with Diggs out indefinitely.

I think Elam is our third corner and temporary starter, and we resigned Mukuamu to give us a temporary slot corner option while Diggs is out.

So basically:

While Diggs is out:
CB Bland
CB Elam
NCB Mukuamu (I could see Butler contending here as well after a good showing last season)

Then, when Diggs is back:
CB Diggs
CB Bland/Elam
NCB Bland

Unless we plan to move on from Diggs, I don't see CB being the top priority in the draft because we have our starters. I won't be surprised by a CB pick early, though, because we don't know how long Diggs will be out and we don't know how Elam will perform.

We can view it, though, that we've already drafted a CB this year because of the trade (same with LB) and may have them lower on our priority list because of it.

I think that they are short at corner and will need to sign another free agent and draft one as well.

Elam is a gamble to start based on what he didn’t show in Buffalo . Let him Mukuamu and Pride Jr battle for the slot and draft an outside corner opposite Bland .

You cannot count on Diggs or Butler for a good chunk of the session and truth be told they probably want to move on from Diggs ,

Everything has been pointing towards a trajectory of signing Bland long term, just as soon as they can get out from under the Diggs contract. Doubt seriously they’re going to want to pay that contract for him to be a slot corner.
Without the pressure of being a 1st round pick to justify by playing outside, Elam with 4.39 would seem like a good candidate to give a shot.
Carson played slot in preseason some last year I believe and it was discussed that he was a good candidate if Lewis was injured!
Corner is almost certainly a consideration in the 1st 2 rounds or looking to the 3rd for a slot if the first 2 fall badly!

I would consider Jaguar Barron at 12.

He could step in at outside corner while Diggs is out and then slide in at slot when he’s back. I think he’d be an absolute dog on the inside.

Then, after this season when we cut Diggs, he can be moved to the outside again.

I liked what I seen from Oruwariye from last year before he was injured. He had some not so good times though too.
He is a FA, and the type of player they normally would sign to a reserves / futures contract. Unless his injury is still bad enough for them to wait.

Mukuamu is a corner not a safety. It's his natural position but he's not a slot corner. It's rare for someone that size to have the agility to play the slot.

With Diggs out, they are, but I don't see adding more than one.

We have (Diggs), Bland, Elam, Carson, Butler, Goodwin, Hall, Pride. And that's not even considering the possibility of Mukuamu playing slot.

Even without Diggs, I think five of those make the roster: Bland, Elam, Carson, Goodwin and the best of Butler, Hall and Pride. That leaves one slot at most. Doesn't mean we couldn't bring in another FA AND draft a corner since Butler, Hall and Pride are not certainties.

I think we'll draft a corner in the first three rounds to fill that final slot and compete for a place in the top three. May even add one late in the draft to compete with Butler, Hall and Pride.
