Options for coaching change

everyone is really going off calling to fire the coaching staff (me included) but I'm interested in who you'd like to see brought in?

I don't really want a retread coach but also don't want one who needs to do on the job training. I'd bring in a college coach like Shaw or Harbaugh. (Yes I understand these are very unlikely since we'll end up with Mora or Kiffen)

GM’s make coaching changes because the coach is their hire and a direct reflection on them, which means they are next to go.....they like in NY

Why bring this up?
There are no options for a coaching change. Garrett's the coach and until he is fired or quits there is no option at head coach.

Harbaugh is the right coach, but not an option. He’s not going to have an overbearing owner/gm bothering him all the time and Jerry isn’t taking a back seat again. It’s going to have to be someone with no skins on the wall looking for the opportunity.

1. Harbaugh couldn't/wouldn't coach for Jerry
2. Saban already failed at the NFL level
3. Gruden is not going to get back in the grind of the NFL
4.At age 70 he has a pretty kush gig and won't give it up plus same reasons as Harbaugh

Saban? Not hardly! Great recruiting coach, like Switzer, but not a pro coach. He's already tried that, unsuccessfully.

Pick a good local college football team to support. Tickets are a helluva lot cheaper and you’ll love the more family friendly tmosphere at games. My Mean Green are doing awesome and probably will go to the Independence Bowl. We can always use more fans...

Garrett won't get fired. No Zeke and injuries to Tyron and Lee will be blamed for the failures.

I would want a coach that had been a college head coach but also has NFL experience as an assistant.

Or buy Sean Payton from the Saints. They are rumored to be open to "trading" him but they are motivated by financial problems.

Payton and Jerry are friends and he might be the only big time coach that would get along with Jerry.

I'm glad I'm an Ohio State grad. It makes being a Cowboys fan a bit easier to take, and I agree totally about the collegiate atmosphere (better than the NFL).

I don't know who you bring in. I wish I did. But I do know that the staff in charge right now isn't cutting it and haven't done so in 7 years. The way I see it. For over 2 decades we as fans have seen some dark times. We've been through multiple quarterbacks after Aikmen who couldn't get it done and we stayed. We supported our franchise when they botched draft after draft and when they let Romo run for his life until his body was beat into dust behind a weak o line. We stayed when we saw a dominant team last year fall short because the defense was never properly addressed...again. As a fan of "America's team" we have our pride and we represent our team against the many haters who wait in the shadows for moments like tonight. We deserve better then the product being showcased on the field.

If that means we hire some hot shot young coach or a coach looking for another chance to make a mark in the NFL or we an older coach looking for the right spot to finally get a ring within the next 3 season then I'm for it. I know what we have in Garrett. I've seen all that I needed to see. I'm ready for something different. regardless what that may be.

P.S. didn't mean to rhyme at the end there. I like it so it stays

There are lots of guys I'd be interested in, but my fear is Jerry would bring in some retread that leaves us all going "huh"?
