Just got back to NY from the Orange Bowl, i'm a big time PSU fan.
Early word on Posluszny is a potential MCL tear. He is a warrior. He was begging the docs to give him some pain killers and let him go back in but they refused.
As for my take on potential PSU players that i would be interested in the cowboys taking, there really aren't any.
Of course i'd love Posluszny, but i highly doubt he is coming out now. I LOVE Zemaitis, and while he is fully capable of being a terrific cover corner in the NFL, at 6-2 and 205 he could theoretically play FS at the next level for the cowboys but i highly doubt it.
Hali i also think is a big time player and i completely disagree with the notion that he is going to be a bust. But DE isn't really a need position, and he is a 4-3 end to boot, so it doesn't really matter.
Lowry supports the run well but is terrible in coverage. Seeing how we are looking for a ball hawk at FS he isn't in the cards.
Phillips the corner opposite Zemaitis is a solid player though i'm not sure he is much better than any of the guys we have on the roster now. Some scout grade him out to be the 3rd PSU player taken after Hali and AZ.
Robinson is intriguing as a WR but i'm not sure he fits in with what the cowboys will be looking for and that is a big play threat.
As for other players, i'd look to Ethan Kilmer for a UDFA invite. Kid is a special teams stud. Real raw at WR but a freak athlete, perhaps the best athlete on the PSU team.
