Its a show about a woman's prison from the viewpoint of a lady that has a one year sentence.

I was taking care of my mother who just got a pacemaker after her heart stopped and I was going to watch this with her, but it looked B quality. I guess maybe I'll check it out. The funny thing is, mom is hooked on Breaking Bad now. Gotta love it.

Anyone who gives Breaking Bad a real shot walks away loving it. That is the hardest show to explain to someone, it just doesn't sound that interesting.

I agree. She didn't like the first episode.. I convinced her to watch another. After that, she was hooked. She'd watch 5-6 in a row, take a break, then come back and watch more. Thankfully, she's doing much much better now...lost some weight, cancer is still gone and her broken foot healed. That woman was having some terrible luck for a while.

I did watch Orange is the New Black today for the first time. I'm hooked right now. The first episode was good at times and slow at times but it is picking up fast.

I'm officially hooked on this show. I love it. So far i'm on episode 7 and you can say I have been "binge watching." Are there any good shows on Netflix that people also "binge watch?" As in the highly reviewed categories such as House of Cards and OITNB.

I will binge watch episodes of "It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia," "Archer", and "Trailer Park Boys". All seasons aside from the most recent are on Netflix.

My friend turned me onto OITNB and told me I'd like it. Like most everyone I was hooked and watched all episodes in a week or so. Great show, can't wait to see what happens next season!

Tried to like Orange is the New Black but the prison atmosphere is so light and fake (only saw the first episode). It felt like a dorm room of non pretentious women instead of any real inmates capable of hurting the pretty blonde. I do like the fact that she was a lesbian for many years and now is engaged to a man but is surrounded by homosexual women looking for her to reciprocate. That could lead to something interesting I guess. Maybe I'll give it a few more to see if any real "broomstick" happenings that are common in female prisons to occur to give the setting at least a little authenticity. Too Hollywood. I didn't like the fact that the counselor told her, "this is not Oz" because I always found Oz to be incredibly fluff and fake as well.
