What's poor little Baylor gonna do now?

Baylor is a good enough Program to get picked up in a major conference IMO. I think they could be OK.

I was referencing their attempts to sue A&M and keep the conference together, but they do have roadblocks to an AQ conference. The PAC avoids religious schools like the plague, the SEC and Big 10 won't even think about it, and the Big East will already have their pipeline into Texas with TCU. The ACC is the only conference that wouldnt hang up the phone as soon as they figured out who it was, and even that is a longshot. C-USA or the MWC looks most likely right now. They simply don't have the pull in politics or the recent success to fall back on like they did when the SWC broke up, and with the lack of interest their small fanbase generates those are really the only ways they could work themselves into a major conference. If it comes to 64 tam superconferences, you can't put Baylor is as one of the 64 without pulling out a more deserving, more lucrative program. Baylor falls right around 70 or so on that list.

There is also the WAC and I suspect that there will be another conference that forms. There are several teams that are going to be looking for a home. I think they will be OK.

If by fine you mean they'll be in a conference somwhere, of course they will be. They won't be a BCS school anymore, though.

Perhaps, perhaps not but then, it should be pretty clear from your last statement why they would take legal action to try and block TAMU. I would think that a TAMU fan, of all people, would understand and possibly even feel a certain remorse for their situation.

I don't know.

I don't know.

I don't feel any remorse because they used their political clout to screw over "The lost four" back in the day. UH, TCU, SMU and Rice were all left out to dry by Ann Richards and Bob Bullock.

They've spent 15 years in a BCS conference and have squandered the opportunity. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Chip Brown saying ACC could be UT #1 option. If of course big 12 falls apart.

I don't see that at all. I see Big 10 and PAC10 before I see the ACC. I see independent before I see the ACC. I don't get that at all.

So Dallas, what do you (and other OU fans) think about their going to the Pac-12?

I think it absolutely sucks, as I've said before.

And Texas to the ACC would be ridiculous as well.

I actually see independent for football. Baseball and basketball need a conference home for tournys. Like Notre Dame does with the Big East. Unless the PAC-12 or Big 10 relax on their views about the Longhorn Network. Right now the don't allow it. Texas isn't going to let the Network go. They see it for the long term potential. Texas will not give up the Network to be in a conference. The ACC does not have a network as of now, I think. Could you imagine the look on Nebraska's face  when Texas was announced as a possible addition to the conference? Priceless!

I only dislike the move because it appears as if Texas won't be coming along. We already lost Nebraska and that sucks as far as history and rivals go. Now it appears we will lose the RRR game. Its a real shame for the fans. It seems these universities don't seem to care what the fans really want *shocked*. They talk a good game of "trying" to contain the Big12, but Oklahoma and OSU as of right now, have no want to remain. They want that stability and not the infighting that has been rampant these past few years between some of the schools. The Texas hatred from some of this AD's is pretty childish.

The possible move to the Pac12 sucks, but I understand the schools have to do what is in their best interests for the future. The Big12 is in a tail spin and it doesn't look like it will be pulled from it. It appears doomed.

I think going to the Pac12 will allow Oklahoma to do better as far as recruiting. Most know ABQ and I disagree on that, but I think it opens avenues for a lot more talent for Oklahoma than just say mining Texas.

It pains me to lose the tradition and history.

Pretty much sucks, but I get it.

I agree with you on the whole Texas to the ACC. Can you imagine? That powerhouse in the ACC doesn't seem fair at all. ;)

Going independent? I don't see that happening either. The LHN is struggling atm. There are no schools signing up for games on it and it seems like its being driven by ESPN more than Texas from what I am reading. That doesn't seem right.

I feel the best bet for Oklahoma and Texas is to stay together. Im holding out hope for that to happen.

I could care less about little brother. :D
