ll-pro Rams left tackle Orlando Pace is done for the season with a serious shoulder injury.

Rams coach Scott Linehan confirmed that bad news Monday afternoon during his news conference. Pace suffered a torn labrum and rotator cuff during Sunday’s 27-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

"I feel real bad, obviously, for Orlando," Linehan said. "He worked very, very hard to come back from his triceps injury a year ago."

The injury will cause the Rams to scramble, since back-up tackle Todd Steussie is sidelined for at least half this season with a broken foot. Adam Goldberg jumped into the fray Sunday, but the Rams will consider several options to move on without Pace.

The Rams currently don’t have another tackle on their roster or practice squad. Milford Brown, who started for Richie Incognito Tuesday, can could play right tackle with Alex Barron moving to the left side in Pace’s place.

Linehan will consider other options, including veteran Kenyatta Walker – who, the Panthers let go before the season.

"We'll have to pick up the pieces for him," Linehan said. "Come Sunday, we'll have our best five out there. We'll be working on a couple of different scenarios."

So do Rams fans call their GM dumb for signing Pace to a big contract a year or so ago? Some Dallas fans did when Larry Allen suffered an injury or two after he signed his big contract. To a small extent, it has happened with Flozell as well.

If this keeps up we will be watching football with the quality level of Texas High School Football.

Man injuries suck.

It's getting ridiculous, isn't it? Part of the game but still...

Man, Jackson and Buglar fantasy owners are feeling sad.

Maybe not. The Rams were able to play well on offense last year without Pace in the lineup. It may be tougher to do it again this year, but it is possible.

It's brutal early on. Boys: Fergie/ Eagles: Lito Shephard: MRI today-haven't heard/ Skins: jon jansen out for year/ Bills: Everett critically injured/ Rams: Pace. Giants: half the team. It's a shame really, but a crappy part of the game.

Lito's out 3-5 weeks(and his backup sucks, got beat on a potential TD in 4th qtr, but Favre overshot him). Considine and Kearse have a day to day injury.
