What does this mean? Move to safety? You never know with Jerry... Stay tuned. I still think Huff is a done deal.

that he gained 10lbs of muscle and feels great? where did you read safety in that? :laugh2:

He always seemed extremely lean to me, even for a CB.. probably not a bad thing considering Rob Ryan will play more press coverage than Wade did so the added strength in his arms especially will benefit him.

Even staying at corner, he could use the additional strength/size/weight.

Did I say it was a foregone conclusion? I said it might be a POSSIBILITY.

I truly think we don't give this guy as much credit as he deserves. A complete steal in the 5th round who can start for a handful of ball clubs around the league.

We are lucky we have a feisty youngster like Scandrick. Guarantee he will be one of Rob Ryan's coveted players who we will all be raving about throughout the season

No but the poster asked where did you see safety in that? What i saw in that tweet was a player who realized that his small stature and lack of size affected his play throughout the whole season. Not a player who's going to move over to safety.

Doubt it, his CB experience is something we really need. Plus we have AOA as a developmental safety.

How did it affect his play? He was one of the best tacklers on the secondary last year, didn't get bullied much, if at all. He's a NCB.

Read it. It didn't see safety in that. I said it was a possibility. Last year around this time Alan Ball went on the same diet. He's not going to say:" I'M MOVING TO SAFRTY NEXT YEAR. " Have an open mind.

I agree 100%

You're probably right. Reading some reports though, some people seem to think Josh Thomas is the perfect NCB. He's probably for depth, though.

I didn't say he got bullied but it did affect his play. When he had to go against bigger WR's he get routinly worked over. tough and grit only takes you so far when you're out weighed.

And in your first two sentences you said "What does this mean? Move to safety?" that infers that the first thing you thought of or saw was safety, other than that why is that the only thing you asked?

And again it's not a possiblity he is one of the top 3 CB's on the team and was the best CB last year (health plus play) why would we move him to safety?

Uh, 10 lbs of muscle in 2 months is physically impossible.

IMO it didn't. He's a little pitbull.

And lol...

Maybe because we have the worst starting safety in the NFL by a wide margin, and perhaps drafted a NCB replacement in Josh Thomas? I still think Huff is a done deal, just thinking outside the box here.

I doubt he moves to safety unless we get Nnamdi Asumuah and still keep Newman. Otherwise, we would end up with either Ball, Church, or rookie Thomas as 3rd CB, which would be counter-productive.

That could just put him over 200... hardly means he would move to safety. He was already kind of light weight.

little pitbulls can't act tough but they would still get handled but 8 out of 10 big pitbulls. Just because they win 2 of the 10 fights doesn't mean that you should keep him little.

If you had the worst safety in the NFL, then why would you take away your best CB and plug him at safety and expect different results? and we didn't draft a replacement in Josh Thomas, we drafted depth that we didn't have last year. And if you're going to think out side of the box then think about something that makes sense.
