Twitter: Orlovsky rips Jerry

The Steelers went 8-8 last year. These were their QBs:

Ben - 2 games
Mason Rudolph - 8
Devlin Hodges - 6 (they went 3-3)

Stable organizations don't crumble when they lose their QB. The 2015 Cowboys fell apart and we're seeing it again.

We now know, in a lot of ways, 2016 was an anomaly. Even then they flopped in the playoffs, again.

Precisely. The Steelers were also a game away from the postseason. Couldn't have said it better.

All of our division rivals have won Super Bowls with Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler, and Nick Foles under center.

Just a hunch, but I bet Jerry will double down with his incompetence leading the way to a dumb trade or signing, trying to gin up some excitement while just throwing more capital into the pit.

I'm down for jumping on Jerry at any point, especially now.

But as far as Orlovsky goes, there's probably nobody's opinion I care less about than the quarterback who ran out of the endzone.

Stable...plus their defense was better than their offense. If you have a very good defense and you lose a DE or a safety or a LB, you can still have a very good defense with backups.

But when you lose your Star LT, your #1 receiver, or your QB, the drop off on offense is much bigger. Offensive plays require most of the players to do their jobs well to be successful. On defense, that is not the case. You can stunt the DL, give safety help to a backup CB. Also, on the DL, everyone is used to rotating, so you have more balanced depth. You don’t rotate your 5 OL players in and out, nor do you play your backup RB if you have a star at the position, and we know that a backup QB can go years without more than a few game snaps.

Dallas will not be a team that can overcome injuries until they build a solid defense.

i don’t
The more people lay into Jerry the better
I agree. I also agree with the idea that the organization has been exposed. I feel Dak and Romo hid a lot of the organizational flaws with their talents and leadership. You take their leadership and talent away and we have 5-11 seasons. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but since the Romo era started through today isn't the win total 10 wins by a Dallas QB not named Romo or Prescott. I can't remember if it's 5 or 10. Like another poster said the Steelers were 8-8 last year. We have tons more injuries than the steelers but Romo started in 2005 or 2006. In 14 years only 10 wins by QB's that were not from Romo and Prescott. That's a poor team right there. Other teams can lose their QB's and still win.

He is probably right but this is the same guy who ran out of the end zone because he got scared of the pass rush coming at him.
