I am seeing some draft ratings that are taking him as a top 20 pick. I thought he would be a great find for us in the second or third round but that may be off the board. He may end up being the best, most physical linebacker in this class with some pass rushing ability on 3rd down.

He seems like a player that the Ravens would be all over. I havent compared him to other linebackers but he seems to have a pretty strong IT factor. I haven't seen a huge body of work but he might be a better pass rusher/run stopper than Smith, the on from Georgia. I don't know as a pass defender.

What do you guys think about him?

For us I think he could be a SAM and situational pass rusher. He does have some relentlessness to him that I love!

We’ll see how much/if any influence Richard has on the D. A guy like Orowonko could easily fill a Bruce Irvin like role, but I don’t think that type of player/position exists in Rod’s D. Would be nice to see some change and creativity on the D.

Not in the 1st for Orowonko though, could be a good player, but don’t think he’d have enough of an impact for a top 20 pick.

Pass rushers always fly off the board. This dude's a little lean, but he's got some serious get off and bend and long arms.

I think he'll test well and go in the 1st.

I have watched him closely during his years at OU. You are spot on about his relentlessness. He never quits. If you watch the OU/Texas game from last year, you will see that on full display. The only thing that kept him from having an even better year was Mike Stoops insistence on dropping him back in coverage. He was the best pass rusher OU had and Stoops hamstrung the defense with that foolishness.

One service has him in the top 20. I was high on him as a second/third round steal possibility.

I'm not sure what he weighs but he seems like a larger linebacker.

I'm all on board with him. If guys like Vic Beasley and Bruce Irvin are able to find a role and make an impact, I don't see why #31 couldn't.

Not to mention it provides insurance next year if we franchise Lawrence and let him walk in 2019. Even if we don't, you simply can't have enough pass rushers.

This guy is my pet cat. Like you guys mentioned he can play Sam and rush on passing downs, making him a 3 down player. I’d trade down in the round and take him or an OG if he’s gone.

Heck, if he keeps rising I might just take him at 19.

I don't think I'd pick him in the first, but I've long been an advocate of a scheme that uses a 4-3 and still utilizes a DE as a LB. Denver ran a 3-4 prior to Wade Phillips, and Von Miller was an OLB. Mathias Kiwanuka, a college DE who had 37.5 sacks at that level was the starting SAM on both the Giants recent SB teams, Bruce Irvin, another college DE who had 22 sacks in 2 seasons, was the SAM when they won the SB. And Peter Boulware, a college DE who racked up 34 sacks for the Seminoles was the SAM on one of the best 4-3 defenses of all time, the 2000 Ravens, who...won the SB.

I hope Kris Richards brings some of that element to the team. Maybe we could even try Tapper there. If Gregory were dependable, that would actually be a great role for him...sigh...

as an Ou fan...love him.
love to see him wear the star.
closer we get to the draft...he could zoom up the boards.
lotta talent to work with.

I'm very intrigued - if he can play in space and cover a little bit as a SAM like you mentioned he'd get enough snaps to warrant the pick.
