maybe he wantd to play instead of carrying clip board behind romo

On TC last week, Broaddus said the rumblings around Valley Ranch were that Orton didn't like Romo for some reason.

I hope he breaks his leg. Worst Cowboy of all-time.

I laughed when the Vikes took Ponder in first (who's arm looked dead at the end of fsu career... I don't care what the combines said)
I thought EJ was better from a physical standpoint, but he always seemed soft.... So I was surprised again when he got taken in the first........

Still don't know why Buffalo picked EJ when they did. It was a weird pick then and it's a weird pick now in restrospect.

Well, if weird = bad.

He's above Rat on my chart, and I don't want a broken leg for him, but that bit on Talkin' Cowboys was pretty interesting, huh? I wonder what the issue was. If I had to guess, I'd say Romo didn't like Orton's relative preparation or attention to detail, but that's solely based on my guessing that Orton wasn't the most dedicated guy during a week when he wasn't expected to play. Tony doesn't really have a rep for being tough to work with for other QBs. And Orton was pretty complimentary of him his first season here, if I recall correctly.

We're most likely going to be in that position sometime soon, having to roll the dice on an imperfect prospect QB and hoping he works out...

I was thinking that there were other prospects on the board, but I just went and looked and jeez I guess I forgot how lousy the 2013 QB class was. Yikes. Mike Glennon might be the star of that QB draft.

Hopefully Dallas gets some better options than that.

These guys are media trained to death so I wouldn't take what he said publicly too seriously.

Your guess is what I believed happened too. I can't think of any other reason why he'd butt heads with the normally jovial Romo. They have two different approaches to the game. Romo lives at VR and Orton's passion has been questioned throughout his career in Denver and Chicago. I think your guess is spot on.

Rat and Orton are the same boat but Rat bled for this franchise for many years. For so long he was the only player on the defense that played with any passion. I can't forget those years. Orton is a checkdown loser who threw a pick to lose us the division then followed that up with a 6 month long temper tantrum.

Buffalo paying Orton $5M/yr for two years. Orton starting. That is hilarious. You just can't make this stuff up.

There is a real GM up there in Buffalo running the show. Pass on Weeden for free. Pass on Vick for less money. Pass on Sanchez for less money. Go get Orton the last couple of days left in camp.

The even funnier thing is that right now two QBs are available, better, and cheaper than what the Bills have: Tebow and Pryor. I don't understand why the league seems to have blackballed Tebow.

Heck, even Vince Young would be a better option than Manual/Orton and Geno Smith.

It will be a colossal failure if the Patriots don't win their division this year. I don't see how they could possibly screw it up.

Yea, Broaddus never really explained why.

He just said Orton and Romo didn't get along very well and then dropped it. I would have liked a little more explanation but they moved on to another topic.

There is a story there that we will probably never know about and I'll bet it's good.

I dislike Bledsoe and Ratliff more, but he's right behind them.

I wish things could have worked out with Orton, but if the rumors are true about him clashing with Tony, he doesn't need to be with the Dallas Cowboys. Still, I wish him and the Buffalo fans luck. The Bills beat the Bears, still have games against the Lions, Vikings, and Packers, and I hope they win them all because it might help the Boys get into the playoffs down the road.
