Love your optimismI think this is his breakout year. Hopefully he won't play in the Pro Bowl this year because he will be too busy preparing for the Super Bowl.

Lost in the news of the edges and run defense benefitting from an improved Hankins/Mazi combo is that Osa will never have a better chance to join the pass rush party. Looks like he’s taking advantage of it through week one.I think this is his breakout year. Hopefully he won't play in the Pro Bowl this year because he will be too busy preparing for the Super Bowl.
so you predict it after a 2 sack game? LolI think this is his breakout year. Hopefully he won't play in the Pro Bowl this year because he will be too busy preparing for the Super Bowl.
I don’t know man… Mazi had some decent plays yesterday. He will never get a lot of sacks but he got in the backfield a couple of times and once pushed the center back in the QB’s lap. That is exactly what we need from him.I’m hoping as the season goes on mazi shows a little more each week. But I think year 3 is when he really gets to be an impact player
It’s really tough playing inside and so much to learn for these guys

I will never understand the dislike for Armstrong. All he does is outperform expectations. Guy is solid and pretty darn clutch.Odighizuwa is a better player than Armstrong. He has a really good pass rush from inside at DT, and he is going to get a lot of sacks this season.
He’s a dangerous 3 tech.
But yeah, you’re right about the patience and improvement.
I agree. I don’t think he’s gonna be a double digit sack guy myself. It’s actually very few guys who play inside who accomplish that. But I think he will get much better at collapsing the pocket and getting pressure. That is really impactful even if you don’t get to the QB because it makes it harder for the QB to step up in the pocket and avoid the guys off the edge. Sometimes a guy really impacts a play when he’s not even in one the play. Parsons had a rush he got doubled but that opened up. a lane for another rusher. Some really impactful plays never end up on a stat sheetI don’t know man… Mazi had some decent plays yesterday. And that center he pushed back was John Michael Schmitz who I thought was one of the best OL in this draft. He had trouble with Mazi on that play.
Mazi was fine for his first ever game.
Too bad a sack assist isn't a stat. The "Micha" effect....
No he's not. He's about as good as any DT in the league at stacking and shedding blocks when he's not asked to shoot a gap. He's a liability as a run stopper, but excellent quickness rushing as a 3 tech. A very good player to run stunts with
Why? The standard for pro-bowl level play from a DT is, effectively, beat single blocking and get to the QB. There are no passrushing DTs who get doubled regularly outside of like Donald and Jones.Enjoying the thread, but c'mon. Osa is not a pro-bowler.
He's feasting on Quinn-Micah leftovers.
If your not an all pro, your not well liked on here. its dumb but its what it is.I will never understand the dislike for Armstrong. All he does is outperform expectations. Guy is solid and pretty darn clutch.
