Some people - not me - would say Mike Vick has "succeeded".
Duh, nevermind. Vick didn't win a heisman.
Brain fart.

Aikbach;1219828 said:Congratulations to him by all means but quick name the last Heisman winning quarterback not from USC (Palmer and Leinhart) to succeed in the NFL?
SALADIN;1219798 said:Sounds like the typical Heisman politics. Freshman, Soph or whatever, if you're the best then it shouldn't matter.
Lead a legitamite contender, I was being very generous with Mr. Leinhart on account of his rookiedom. The Bengals are a legitimate contender if not for half of their lineup being in the Ohio St. Pen.Rack;1219832 said:Define "succeed"?

And it took him the better part of a decade to get it together. Only two playoff appearances in 20 year span if i'm not mistaken.Rack;1219836 said:It would have to be Vinny.
You've stumped me because I don't know who that is.Fan Since 77;1219833 said:Bill Bradsky

1994 with Browns and 1998 with Jets.
I suppose, Steve Young did struggle there but Doug Williams didn't.Rack;1219849 said:Well you can't really blame Vinny for his slow start. He did start off with the Bucs. No one could succeed for that team (back then).

SNL was in Studio 8H downstairs, i'd watch 'em rehearse from the control room and see skits that got cut...let me tell you they rifle through a ton of crap and half the time as of late the show still isn' that great.Fan Since 77;1219857 said:an old SNL skit with Will Ferrell. They would sit at the bar drunk and talk about the greatest guy in the world, ol Bill Bradsky. Sorry, I thought you would get that comming from Conan's ilk. After all, he might have written that skit

adamknite;1219871 said:I wanted McFadden to win, but really Troy Smith deserved it, the QB of an undefeated team who's had a great year, it's hard to overcome that unless you have a Reggie Bush type of year.
Dayton_Cowboy;1219876 said:What brings you to that opinion? There are some that believe that Brady Quinn is overrated as well. So how about you defend your position?
I'm not so certain that Troy should be a first rounder. However I believe he could develop well along the same lines that Romo has developed. Troy does have the ability to evade pressure with rather good scrambling ability. When he does leave the pocket he's looking downfield to find an open receiver to throw to. If nobody is open that is when he'll take off running.
