Houston really screwed up with that contract.
yeah 72 mil , I wonder how much they guaranteed??

In a way I root for the texans, even though I hate their uni's and helmets. but this year I want Tenn to win it,
hopefully they both win next week, then last game winner gets the div.

It's hard for me to root for the Texans. When they had matt schuab, arian foster, andre johnson they had 1 chance to make it to the super bowl and I believe they lost in the AFC conference championship. They never made it back despite being the best team in a god awful division. They were given 6 free wins a year because they played the jags, titans, and colts. This was before andrew luck, mariotta, and whatever the jags had.

A large majority of my friends I made in college were from Houston or somewhere close by so I would always hear them spew constant nonsense about the Texans being the best in the NFL and they were going to win multiple super bowls and blah blah blah. It wasn't just them though, most if not all Texans fans are completely stupid. We have a lot, but they beat us easily.

They should be the houston oilers, and have better uniforms , and I guess the owner isnt too bright, aside from drafting watt,
they make many mistakes.
I remember their playoff run, and they were fairly good, but shaub got hurt, and they went in with bkup, after injury shaub was never the same.
At the time their coach was not that great either, he lucked out going to denver, and having wade as dc.

I heard $38 million of that contract is guaranteed. I'd have to check though.

They have never won a divisional playoff game, that is the furthest that they have gone. I love that they can't get anywhere, most of my friends are their fans and I hear constant chatter

I heard early in the season O'Brien did not want Osweiler it was the ownership that wanted and made that deal. I applaud him for making the move to Savage. Osweiler has been a disaster. I wonder what the ownership thinks about him benching him though?

I don't applaud the move. I would have if O'Brien made the move weeks ago, but he did it out of desperation in game #14.

They've been first place in the division almost the entire season, he could have easily just said "we're going with the guy who's had us in first place" so I think it was a gutsy move. Osweiler is in the first year of a huge contract some coaches might not have done it at all fearing what ownership would think. Everybody has an ego and if did it too early the people that gave him that contract might have disapproved.

There's another reason why he could not have a few weeks ago, Savage just returned from injury.
