LAWYER SAYS PACMAN “SATISFIED” WITH ARREST
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 19, 2008, 3:59 p.m.
Manny Arora, the lawyer for suspended Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones, said today that Jones is “satisfied” that an arrest has been made in the 2007 Las Vegas shooting that left a strip club employee paralyzed.
But the Murfreesboro, Tennessee Daily News Journal reports that Arora will not comment on any specifics, including whether Jones knows the suspect, Arvin Kenti Edwards, or whether the arrest of Edwards was a result of information Jones provided.
“All we can say is Adam has cooperated with the authorities since the beginning and if our cooperation has helped in apprehending the proper party then we are very satisfied,’’ Arora said. “Hopefully now the attention will be focused on the victims who suffered in this case as well as the people that perpetrated the crime and Adam can get back to having some privacy and move past this.’’
Las Vegas police said Jones was an instigator in the fight that preceded the shooting. Jones pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct in the case.
