The Tyron Smith's in the world must be a .01% group as they are a rare breed to find. You can find 330 Lb guys but are not fleet of foot to keep up with 295 lb DEs around the edge. A 295 lb OT can have the speed but can be bull rushed. So where do you find the next Tyron Smith? My opinion is to find foot work first that is is a natural talent, then work on strength and weight. Looking at the other sports that I think have these traits, I believe that basketball is the best place to look. We find BIG men that have great foot work and seem to be able to add weight and not effect speed. To transition to NFL Football at OT will take time but the natural ability to function as a very good left OT is there.

football is a very violent sport; there is a reason not many basketball players make the transition so its not as easy as you want it to be.

that said the idea of a great athlete at OT is intriguing. However one must remember that all too often great athletes are NOT great players

I would hate to lose Rico's talent but there's always OT

The Cowboys turned a college basketball player into a great OT before (Parnell).

he never was nor will be a great OT. Serviceable and maybe better but that is it

Cornell Green is the only cowboy that fits that criteria. Pro Bowl at both CB and Safety when the Pro Bowl meant something.

Should be in the HOF honestly
