OT JARED VELDHEER, HILLSDALE- FEBRUARY 5, 2010

Dear Journal,

When we arrived in El Paso it was about noon on Sunday. We started meeting with scouts. The afternoon and evening that first day was busy.

We had an orientation and dinner and when my head hit the pillow I was out.

Monday morning we did the same thing and then we had our first practice. It was fast and intense but fun. I measured in at 6076, 315.

That is kind of how the week has been.

Wednesday night most of the scouts left so we did not have many of them here on Thursday but it was fun.

Today we have a walk thru and the rest of the day off and then the game tomorrow.

I have an interview with CBS sometime around 3:30 today.

I talked to every team here except the Seahawks and the Rams.

Talk to you next week!

Hard to believe at 6-9 he has the feet to play tackle.

As I said in my mock draft thread, he is a project just like Ducasee yet he might be more NFL ready at this point and is moving up just as fast. Either way I dont think either of them will be ready to come in and start right away.

Trindon Holliday

boy he looks awful expolsive - I don't like using a a draft pick on a return specialest

and if we take him who sits - Choice

Yes sir, would love to find a roster spot for that midget. He is just a big play waiting to happen in the return game.

OG Mike Iupati, Idaho Top 30 Pick
Vladimir Ducasse, OL, UMass - OG but could possible play at RT Height
LT Jared Veldheer, Hillsdale

I don't think there any rush to push them into playing the right away

just start getting them ready to play

then let me throw in my center

C/OG Erik Cook, New Mexico Height: 6-6. Weight: 315
Erik Cook (Albuquerque Cibola HS) played every snap in all 12 games this fall, finishing the season with 88 knockdown blocks, including 49 over the final five games. He allowed just one sack in 470 passing attempts - the most in the MWC - and had just one penalty in 836 plays this year. Cook had flawless technique on at least 80 percent of his snaps in 10 games. - New Mexico football

This Veldheer needs to have some incredible feet, or he's going to have a real hard time being 6'9"

I care NOTHING about the 40 time of an O lineman. To me its all about quick feet first.
