lol at the 40 determining foot speed

you'd have to look at shuttle and 3-cone drill times for that

Come on.....this is common sense.

Who has quicker feet.........a 4.4 CB or a 5.2 Guard?

Fast twitch is fast twitch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 40 times have nothing to do with the speed or agility of an individual's feet.

Here's why I think that:

http://www.google.com/search?client...s+per+minute&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

You'll find that most people, regardless of speed or size, take 180-200 steps a minute while running.

"So," you might ask, "if the 5.2 guard and the 4.4 CB are both taking the same number of steps, what causes them to run different times?" The difference is mainly because the cornerback has a better power-weight ratio. Some of the difference is also due to variations in technique/leverage/etc...

Like I said earlier though... I'm not an expert on this by any means, so If I've made any errors please correct me.
