OT Laremy Tunsil traded to Washington

There’s also the contract. The price was pretty decent for a really good LT. But he’s a FA next year and will set the OT market
All the websites I viewed show him as a UFA after 2026. He turns 31 this August, and could potentially play another 8-9 seasons if he avoids injury. Good deal for both Washington and Houston.

Washington gave up a little too much but credit to Washington for trying to improve the team while the Cowboys sit on their ***** and do nothing
I don't think they gave up too much. They gave up the #78 pick this year and then a 2nd next year which might not even be a top 50 pick to snag a fringe top 5 left tackle.

At very best if you kept both those picks your hoping 1 of those are a good starter and they instead turned it into an elite player at a position of need.

The only reason they got that good of a player for that little is because he wants a new deal, but this is actually the perfect situation because Washington doesn't care. They have tons of cap space not only this year but the next handful of years.

This was an excellent trade for both teams

Commanders having a good start to the offseason. They're taking player acquisition seriously after narrowly missing the super bowl.. I feel like this is what we should have done one of the years after winning 12 games.

If he's anything...its a left tackle. He's not physical enough for any other position.

Unfortunately...he sucks as a LT
He played RT in college and was pretty good prospect . It’s a lot of difference in RT and LT. Steele couldn’t plsy LT but when healthy is solid RT

The ones I seen have 2026 as a voidable year. It’s a good deal for Washington because they have a good roster and are adding to it. Not sure Texans can replace him with equal talent, certainly not with the picks they got

Washington is ALL IN and making moves left and right. You can do this when your QB is making a 500 bucks a month.

This is EXACTLY what the niners did. Notice now that the Niners have to pony up for their QB that they are getting rid of all their toys?
Cowboys did some of this too when Dak was young. Seahawks scored with Russell Wilson. Always easier when your QB is still being paid like a draft pick.

But I notice the Eagles are still bringing in plenty of talent even with Hurts $250M contract.

He's neither. He's a short order cook.
That was said about Steele and many others after one year. I don’t know what fans expected when you stick a guy at the hardest oline position, that he didn’t play in college and start there day one. He should have been started on right side and worked in

Problem is he is made the same mistakes all season. The same mistakes he made in college at Right tackle. You would like to see improvement in one area then try to improve another. Right now it feels like he doesn't learn.

So now we know Washington and Philadelphia both have better GMs than Dallas.

Good move by Adam Peters and the Commanders. He's a 5x Pro Bowler who just signed an extension last offseason i believe.

So they don't have to make a decision on giving him more money until next offseason. He won't be an UFA until after the 2026 season.

This is what you do when you have had success and have a QB on a rookie deal. You add Tunsil and Deebo to the offense. Kinlaw to offset the loss of Jonathan Allen on defense. They still have a day one and day two pick to add to the roster. They can trade back for more picks or just take the BPA.

Not great to be a team in the NFC East not named Eagles. Not great for non-aggressive teams either.
Recent history shows that odds are that either the Cowboys or Formerskins win the East this year.

Guyton no LT. We just trying to make him one . He’s a RT
Nonsense, the guy has LT feet. He had a great camp, his inexperience showed as the season went along. TCU coached him as a LT. Oklahoma moved him to RT because they already had a guy at LT and their QB happened to be left handed so his blind side was the right side.

Tyron Smith played RT at USC because they too already had a LT. Cowboys played him at RT as a rookie and threw him over to LT in his 2nd year. He had some growing pains making the move but he did it.
