I am ready for football. Even the next 10 days will seem long to get to the 1st OTA.

http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2016/...dates-revealed

OTA's, May 24-26, May 31 to June 2, June 6-8
Mini-Camp June 14-16

Then the really long off season drought. TC probably starts, around July 25 to 28 is my guess.

Really looking forward to see, hear reports on the draft class, as well as some 2nd year players. And a few UDFA's as well.
If allowed, may try to get out to observe them. Not sure if closed to public or not.

After witnessing and having to bare the worst football season imaginable last year, I am ready to see my Cowboys on the field to right what went wrong last year.

I know many here would probably say that '89 was the worst, but I was only six then.

Thanks for putting the schedule up. It's about that time!

actually last season was worse than 89, everyone knew 89 was not going to be good, noone thought we would go 4-12 last season.

What's also cool is the daily reports and shows, so you can get information/opinion overload during training camp. "The Break" and "Talking Cowboys" go daily then, as well as the streaming shows from Cowboys radio. It would actually be very time consuming to get to all of it, unless you have a job where you can listen to the radio all day.

Im kinda done with the minicamp stars. Wilcox killed this for me. I'll wait until week 1 to see who has game and who is a camp star.

Wilcox played through plantar fasciitis all of last year. My expectations are limited but I'm keeping an open mind with him.

what was his excuse in 2014? He was the same low impact player.

I thought he has some great games like the Detroit playoff game for example. I charted every game as I always do and came away with a different opinion. When he started playing FS is when the throws over the top stopped.

You have an interesting definition of (great).

Wilcox made me a believer and all he did was disappoint.

Well that was the thing. It appeared to me that he regressed in year 3 after improving in year 2. WE know he had plantar fasciitis and from what I understand that only goes away with a month or more of rest. He didn't take time off.

It could be that it had little or no impact on him. It could be that it did. I'm not one to condemn so I'll just wait and see.

I did not know Wilcox played with an injury last year. But if he is 100% and with Jones as a true FS then Church and Wilcox playing a true SS, as was said before last season, that was the ultimate plan. Then I will hold out any judgments on the secondary until TC. As well as the first few games.

I do think, as of now the secondary will be better than most think.

And you really don't have a definition you just go by whatever your backbrain tells you. Different strokes for different folks.

No, I go by actual production, you know, the thing that matters that Wilcox never provided? I'll let you and wavymonkey spearhead the Wilcox fanclub though

Yep.... I'm right there with you.

All of the Maretellus, Beasley unguardable, and so on and so on with different players has ran its couse with me.

Dez is one of the few guys that got the minicamp hype that actually ended up being real.

Every day last year we heard how great Lawrence and Gregory looked.. Lawrence was solid or a little better than average and Gregory was a non factor.

Taking away deep throws is what a FS primary role is in pass coverage. The deep throw went away when he became FS. You don't even contest this. Production indeed.
