“We learned about it on Monday morning,” Garrett said. “He was a passenger in a car accident on Sunday night. When he came in on Monday he had some body stiffness and some neck stiffness. So we got him checked out.”

No serious injuries to Elliott have been reported at this time. If this all feels somehow familiar, recall that Zeke was also involved in a car accident before last year’s playoff game with the Green Bay Packers. Despite the accident, the rookie back went on to rush for 125 yards in the heart breaking loss.

On the Rico Gathers watch, one analyst seems to think he’s the second coming of Kellen Winslow Sr. Answering a question on his Twitter account about the performance of the second year tight end, columnist Mickey Spagnola responded:

The next Kellen Winslow. https://t.co/jQqPrrc9jQ

Took the Patriots 30 days to figure he was no good. Took us 3 years

He was with them on their ps last year before being signed to Indy's roster and stayed there all year. The Colts let him go May 1, 2017. The Pats resigned him to their team on May 2. It appears that they thought he was good enough to be with their team much longer than you are suggesting. In fact, they had all of his time with Dallas as a resume and they signed him not once but twice.

Ok it's correct to say that he lasted a total of 38 days with the Patriots

Sept 5 to sept 21 on their practice squad. Then reclaimed May 2 to May 24

I said it took the Patriots 30 days to figure out he was no good. It was instead 38 days. My apologies

:lmao:

Still wrong. They had all the time he was in Dallas. The time he was in Indy after being signed off their PS. And then they resigned immediately after he became available. Funny how you conveniently left all that time out.

I am not getting sucked in.

I went to sleep every single night with serious wood thinking about the damage our NASCAR DL package of Gregory, Hardy and Lawrence were going to bring down on opposing offenses a few years ago.

I won't be fooled again. LOL.

Wrong the time he was in Indy has nothing to do with the time he was with the patriots

He was a patriot for 38 total days. That's all the time they needed to see first hand, that he was no Bueno. Don't take it so personally. I'm sure he's doing all right.

Tell you what, let's just agree to disagree of the mighty Devin street...it's not worth my wasting my finger energy

That's what you call a short story.

If those two hit, it's a ridiculous upgrade in athleticism and speed in the front seven. Pair them with a fairly athletic Collins at DT and you are starting to see the formation of a very high quality front seven.

It has been said several times before by posters and feel a need to say it again. It is like having two extra defensive players drafted this year.

I cannot wait to see him on the field. I hope he sees action week one.

He very well might...you just know that CB realizes this was a bad time to injure his hammy. Sure, his spot is safe BUT Switzer is the shiny new toy. Part of being a vet in the NFL. Constantly having to fend off the shiny new toys. Some pan out, but most don't. CB has been damn durable for his size IMO. We'll see if Switzer can take the same kind of pounding. (I hope he can and does because it will make our team that much stronger, plus I'd like to see Lucky go) Speaking of Lucky, his timing is REALLY bad because he could absolutely lost his job to Switzer IMO.

Ok, whatever.

Your shot at the Cowboys personnel department was pretty stupid.

Despite the fact that the Pats took him after Dallas decided he wasn't good enough, lost him to another team signing him off their practice squad, then immediately resigning him the day he became available means that they weren't bright enough to realize it despite all the prior evidence.

Belichick is great, no doubt, but they have a lot of questionable personnel decisions themselves. They are fortunate that they have the one player that makes up for a ton of mistakes.
