FRISCO, Texas – Even without pads, there’s so much we can dissect from just one open practice out here at The Star.

Cooper getting snaps at center, and a Collins on Collins would be very interesting now.
I wouldn't take too much from the Oline moves besides Collins seemingly being moved to RT full time. My guess is that with Cooper and Cleary they are just trying to see how versatile each of them are. If Cooper proves he can play guard and be the backup center, then they might drop Looney. If Cleary can play tackle and guard then that might cost Bell his job. With so many young receivers and defensive backs they have, I feel like they want versatile Olineman so they can go short with only 8 of them once the final roster costs come.

Versatility is a cherished key...and just why I follow stuff such as this. Cooper with valid snapping ability, is a big thing. All offensive linemen get injured during a season. How badly is always the question.

Myself, I read this as the team intends for this off season to go...an all out competition where everyone has to prove his metal and value to the team.

I don't really have in my mind, a picture of Jason Garrett clapping his hands...as some on site try to characterize him as portraying. This one is...load up on buckshot and come out blazing.

This is the time to get all this movement and versatility tryouts done. Just as long as they do not keep it up all throughout TC. Then we will have a lot of jack of all trades but masters at none for each position. Need to get them set, get in the reps for it to become second nature. react and not too much thinking of the right thing to do.

That is one of my pet peeves they move players around too much in TC.

Glad they're getting a look at the ol in different positions, you're not going to declare any of them as potential all Pros but you can eliminate some right out of the gate and then adjust your needs
True. I bet this is the last we see of Cleary at guard, for example.
