Have there been any interesting players you have seen released on other teams?

I haven't really combed through all of them yet, but one name that I saw that was intriguing was DT John McCargo getting cut by the Bears. They are deep on the defensive front, so it may have been a veteran vs. a young guy's salary kind of thing. If Ratliff may miss time in the regular season, he'd be someone I'd have to go watch film on or bring in for a workout.

There may be others that I'd be interested in when I look through in more detail.

I think we are pretty solid at CB but I think Shaun Prater from the Bengals would be a player to keep an eye on. I think he was let go more so because the Bengals had an overload of talent at the position.

Edit: Never mind. It appears he was placed on IR

watching the Koppen / McDonald deal in New England..

I doubt we would be interested in Koppen because of his age even though he is superior to anything we have here.

Probably get hated for this but the patriots cut donte stallworth. Would add security to our wr core. But i think wecould just go with harris and beasley. Just a little nervous about no vet there.

I would've done this a few weeks ago.

Stallworth has looked good this preseason and is a victim of a #'s game.

Young players don't get to be vets unless you let them play. Harris, Beasley, and Ogletree have all earned their roster spots this preseason. Rewarding some veteran guy who can't make another squad at this point would send the wrong kind of message. No way I think Garrett does that after what we've seen from the young guys already on the roster.

Very true.

Chargers at TE with Gates, Randy McMichael, Rosario Dawson, Kory Sperry and Ladarius Green. Scouts got a real good look at them close up when we practiced against them.

Even with Leary struggling some. I am looking at this second OL and don't see Dockery on it. I go for a waiver wire up grade.

I would give Koppen a 2 year deal(if he is healthy),the Pats have have a lot of guys who can play center and Koppen seems the odd man out.

Stallworth? Great! Maybe he can be Dez's driver.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the final cuts are made. Koppen is certainly worth bringing here if they cut him.

Maybe Seahawks, OG Deuce Lutui

"Deuce Lutui appeared likely to earn a roster spot, but things changed when rookie seventh-round pick J.R. Sweezy made a surprisingly quick conversion from college defensive lineman to NFL guard. Sweezy suddenly looks like a strong candidate to supplant incumbent John Moffitt as the starting right guard. That made Lutui expendable. Also, Lutui wasn't ideally suited for the Seahawks' zone blocking scheme. He probably would have helped most in pass protection. I think Lutui could help someone. Seems like St. Louis could stand to check him out, at least."

That or he can get dez's and austin's crutches for them when they get up in meetings. Due to being sidelined from injuries.:)
