yeah, oh hey OU fans, when does OU get oregon at home? i still cant get over how OU got jobbed in that game!

OU already played Oregon at home. It was the first part of the home-and-home series. It was AD's first game as a Sooner and he ran roughshod over the Ducks.

I remember because I was there! :D

FWIW, I don't hold anything against the Ducks for that game in Eugene. It's not their fault the refs were incompetent. I don't buy into the whole "conspiracy theory" theory.

The offense scored 1 TD all game on a 2 play drive. The other 2 TDs were off short drives because of INTs by Wolfe. The offense had 1 sustained drive all game for a FG. And the defense couldn't defend a guy that looked bad in all of his games this year. OU won't face a team much worse than Colorado it's really that simple.

And I agree OU isn't a young team. But they are young at QB. That didn't stop Colorado who was young and pretty bad at QB.

I'm not arguing that there were problems on offense, but I don't agree that it was the fault of the coaching staff. Again, Bradford threw two interceptions and the receivers dropped several passes which ended drives. We had two fumbles, one of which was lost. They earned 87 yards on 4 punt returns, while we achieved 31 yards on 3 punt returns. You blame coaching when you lose due to penalties and a lack of discipline which wasn't the case. We were penalized 3 times for 27 yards while they were penalized 6 times for 45 yards. Our offensive line only gave up 2 sacks for 13 yards. The real reason we lost was turnovers and time of possession. They had the ball for 39 minutues compared to our 21 minutes. They called 82 plays on offense to our 46 despite the fact we averaged more yards per pass and rush than they did. The playcalling didn't hurt us; it was the lack of tackling and ability to pass rush on defense that caused them to eat up clock while we turned the ball over during our limited opportunities. We only had one sack that entire game.

OU already played worse teams than Colorado including North Texas, Utah St. and Tulsa. Baylor is a lot worse than Colorado. And before you criticize the decision to run the ball, OU averaged 4.4 yards per carry and over 100 yards against one of the nation's best rushing defenses. It was also the first game outside the state of Oklahoma and Boulder is one of the toughest places to play in the country. OU is in fact a young team. They have 40 freshmen on the roster and only 18 seniors. 63 out of the 108 players are underclassmen. That is a young team by any measure.
