Watching this Colts game and seeing Garcon play and just thinking about all the other rookie WR's playing around the league why the hell can't we get our rookie in just to see what he can do? I'm not saying he has to necessarily take someones position now but for heaven sakes let him play some snaps and see what he can do and if he is better than one of the regulars why not. I just think his quickness can bring another dynamic to the offense cause most of our WRs are long striders so having a different type of WR in the offense I feel can help a lil. What do you guys think? I mean Romo likes and trust him evident by the preseason game against the 9ers

Dude, Who are you deactivating to make him active on the roster>?

How does it effect special teams?

its not just a matter of throwing him out there.

Hurd and austin are huge parts of special teams and are not coming off the gameday roster.

I know man it sucks!!! I love what Beuhler is doing for our KOs but having that extra kicker is killing our roster flexibility for sure

Buehler is contributing far more than Olgetree would.

I'd have to agree, Ogletree's activation has to outweigh whoever he's gonna replace for that day. Not to mention he will have to play ST and WRs usually are not that great at tackling.

I want to see 'Tree out there because I am confident he can do so damage but he has to come out and play ST as well.

I don't think we see him unless one of the other WRs get's hurt.

Garrett is having enough trouble getting Bennett and Felix Jones involved in the offense. Not sure where Ogletree fits in right now.

Garcon is playing more because of the injury to the colts #2 wr, Gonzalez. Plus Garcon is not a rookie. This is his 2nd year. Ogletree will get his oppurtunity, when he gets alittle more seasoning.

Pierre Garcon it's not a Rookie. This is he's second year so he's has off-season to develop his skills

I'm not denying what Buehler is bringing to our field position on KOs and love what he brings but no one on this board can deny that having an extra kicker sucks for the roster flexibility. That statement is rediculous too cause if 'Tree was able to come in and contribute to the points on the score board that more contribution than what buehler could bring

I can dig what you're saying it would be nice to see our young players develop into something special. I'm not going to put too much stock into Ogletree even though I like him a lot. I want us to actually draft a WR in the early rounds. Even though this isn't related to WR I want to see Williams in action can't wait until he's healthy. I'd deactivate Carp.

and he was also drafted if I'm not mistaken. He looks a lot better than Ogletree did even when Ogletree was playing well.

My bad I thought he was a rookie for some reason.

It's no biggie you're just hearing about the guy not as if you should know other team roster players and such.

I totally agree man it sickens me to see every team in our division drafting WRs in the early rounds. I know everyone here wants to call there players bust but every knowledgeable fan knows it can take a few years for WRs to fully develop so those WRs could be ticking time bombs and just blow up one day to become good players and give our team headaches in the future

You can't draft wr's in the 1st round just because your division rivals are. Besides the Cowboys really liked the potential of their young guys Austin and Hurd and wanted to get em on the field this year. Which is also the reason they did not sign any free agent wr's. Now if Austin and or Hurd regress this year then who knows what Jerry will do as far as the wr position. Also IMO Jerry doesn't like to spend 1st rounders on wr's, because of what you said in your post about it taking a few years for wr's to develop. I think Jerry would rather go after a big name wr already established in the league(Roy Williams).

Desean Jackson has done more in the league than Hurd and Austin combined in their years with the cowboys. They went out and drafted a WR the next year. You can have all the potential in the world but if it doesn't come to fruition it's just crap.

Ogletree will get his chance when either Hurd or Austin goes down with an injury. I hope they don't but their track record suggest that one of them will.
