Jerry can't freaking win. They give him crap for going to a party on the day of the draft or he stays at valley ranch to work with scouts and Jason and they say he is too involved and needs to step back....He can't win

When you are invited to an event that will be attended by 5 of the most powerful men of the last 50 years to honor one of them, you go.

this is true. But then again, I dont think the typical NFL GM is asked to go to these events. But because he wears both hats.....this is what we have.

AHHHHHH I need more CowboyZone Prozac...someone tell me that they think Jerry Jones is a cross between Ron Wolf, Bill Polian and Bobby Beathard.
I need a boost!

Jerry's going to be drunk dialing players all night telling them that they've just been drafted by the Cowboys.

Jerry turn down a free open bar?

Never.

Actually that would be a hard invite to say no to.

Pretty much.

All this tells me is that Ciskowski and Garrett are handling the draft.

He's at a gathering where the drinks will be flowing. That scares me.

We have all seen jerrys drafting ability sober, could it be any worse with a few drinks in him?

Aaron Dobson in the 3rd or 4th?:D

I'm guessing third, although I probably wouldn't touch him until the bottom of the fourth at best.

I have seen too many games where he just wasn't a factor or he would make absolutely spectacular catches and drop the routine ones.

I just hope it really means that Jerry is taking a lesser role in the player acquisition process. I hope Stephen, Garrett, and Ciskowski were planning as to what is actually going to be done while Jones is schmoozing.

The drafting has been different these last couple years and I hope that continues tonight.

This is just their Jerry Bash warm up ....... it will hit its peak at 9:00 tonight after he is told to move up and take a player they hate.

I'm not sure why anyone would be concerned with this or would care about it really. This doesn't seem to be important in the least. Everyone always says they'd rather Jerry take a less active role. If he's not at Valley Ranch for part of today because he was doing that then he's taking a less active role. Which one is it that people actually want?

Jerry was invited because he's Jerry/Owner of America's Team.
EVERY other owner in jealous.
None of the Presidents in addendance couldn't name another NFL owner if they tried.
Take pride that our Team & Owner are acknowledged by world leaders.

Don't worry I know their routine. No matter who the Cowboys select we will have some who hate the pick because it was not their pick.

I'm ok with the SMU thing. Jerry coming up live on the NFL net to explain why he gave Romo $100M.

He was there because the library is in Dallas.

If President Bush's place was in Chicago do you think Jerry "America's Team" owner would have been invited?
