Ben_n_austin;1784710 said:Henry started today, actually. The starting secondary formation consisted of Newman, Henry and Reeves.
Roy didn't "start" though. . .
94WARE94;1784718 said:Roy did start WP just kept his *** out of deep coverage and put him near the Line of Scrimmage

Dont get me wrong our corners did OK today but I was at the game and there were quiet a few instances where the recievers were open and not seen after beating poor coverage, or simply overthrown in the wide open field after beating coverage. I don't mean to complain becuase they did do a good job but against a team like GB, Detriot, Patriots, etc. they get burned today...still lots, LOTS of room for improvement.
Ben_n_austin;1784736 said:I highly disagree with you. Reeves had a good game and our secondary's play is why we kept this team out of the end zone all game. Constant pressure resulted in sacks because of blanket coverage.
utrunner07;1784747 said:Were you there? yeah the covered a lot of the time but there were critical times when their receivers were running open and just missed. it was a dramatic improvement over last week and I can see them doing better as the weeks progress, all I am saying is that they are not there yet, against a good QB, today would have been a shoot out, not a 3 point near shutout.

Ben_n_austin;1784789 said:Yeah,
I don't know what you were seeing, but I was seeing a team that was getting pressure on the QB nearly every play.
Sure, after 4 seconds the receievers got open... but didn't you look over to see that by that time our d-line had destroyed their intentions of getting accross the 50 yard line for the entire first half?
Did you forget your binoculars or somethin'?
