Our defense has been bad all year

I have been complaining about our front 3 defensive line not getting pressure on the QB since the season started. I was told then by members of the forum
that I know nothing about the 3-4 defense and how they were only used for stopping the run not getting sacks. I don't care what defense you are running. The front line needs to put pressure from up the middle.

dude, you go off the deep end every time we lose. We win Saturday and not a peep will be heard from the sky is falling crowd.

It is just one loss, but we seriously need to harass the opposing QBs. I think Brees was on the ground maybe one time all game. I bet he wasn't even sore this morning. You can't win playoff games without a pass rush. I keep waiting for them to figure something out, but it seems to get worse by the week. A lack of a pass rush and a secondary that can't cover is a bad combination. I hope they step it up on the road Saturday night.

Our defense has been bad in that respect (pressuring the QB) since 1995. Coincidentally, that was the year Dave Campo took over as the DC...

We do have certain weaknesses on defense, some could be considered serious. But to say our defense has played all year is quite a stretch, and is an intellectually indefensible position to take.

Yep - on the whole, we have one of the better defenses in the league. With a loss, we get the "Zimmer sucks" crowd. With each passing win, we get the "do you think we can get homefield advantage" crowd.

Truth lies in between.
