Our defense is a joke

People get all caught up in ******** defensive rankings. The bottom line is this defense at its absolute best, is a sound defense. We don't generate any chaos whatsoever. Just saw the rams put up 8 sacks vs the cardinals. When's the last time this team had a performance like that? With as many crappy offensive lines out there, there aren't any excuses.

If it isn't painfully obvious that this defense is missing pressure players, then I can't help you.

This doesn't even begin to discuss the bigger issues this team has on the other side of the ball...this team has A LOT of holes. A LOT.

Without question. If there was ever any debate, it's over now. We have to have the worst combination of trenches in the NFL.

It's a double edged sword. You can see Ryan is reluctant to blitz heavily after last season.

And we got burned blitzing on Monday night. Damned if we do and damned if we don't.

The key is to generate enormous pressure without blitzing.

I'm trying to convince myself it's even possible to fix all these holes in one more offseason so I don't get too depressed about our situation.

and you are right, when you look closely at the roster you start to realize wow, there are really a lot of holes on this team and this coming offseason it will only get worse when 3 former 1st round picks leave (felix, jenkins, spencer).

I wouldn't say our defense is a joke. We have a very good secondary and linebackers, but they're overrated. No one besides Ware gets pressure on the opposing quarterback consistently.

I think it's time to unleash Crawford and see what we have in him.

This year how many did we add? 2?

Carr and Claiborne... I'd say we hit on both of those

So 4 is an absolute best case scenario. 2 FAs and 2 draft picks

If we can legitimately hit on 3 or even all 4 of these in one offseason, we can then compete.

Got some good young talent there, aside from I dont' know how old Carr is?

But, Dallas gets a legit NT and maybe another linebacker? THey could be in for some fun.

Course, my goal is Dallas goes back to the 4-3 and start kickin butt on D again.

We have good talent on defense. The problem is its in the wrong areas. We don't have pressure players..if we ever acquire pressure players, this D has a real chance
