gbrittain;2207432 said:You do realize that Wade has only drafted 8 players who have ever played in a regular season game and all of them were rookies last year.
You act as if he has been here for 5 years.
You fail to mention our Pro Bowl kicker was picked in the 6th round last year. Our starting FB was picked in the 6th round.
Scandrick looks promising.
How impressive was Bill's first draft?
Julius Jones RB Notre Dame - Shown the door
Jacob Rogers T USC - Bust
Stephen Peterman G Louisiana State - Bust
Bruce Thornton DB Georgia - Bust
Sean Ryan TE Boston College - Bust
Nathan Jones DB Rutgers - Bust
Patrick Crayton WR Northwestern Oklahoma - Excellent pick
Jacques Reeves - Shown the door
Yeah, if only we could duplicate drafts like that every year...championship!

But I will say this I don't recall our kick and punt coverage teams every being anywhere near this bad under Bill. That is something that darn sure does need to change and change in a real hurry.

Crayton was #53 once, so was Romo, Ratliff in bottom 10... any more questions?
Bill called it churning, and I like what he did
And Bill would've risked selecting Marcus Spears instead of Demarcus Ware.ejthedj;2207319 said:Ummm, Bill found Crayton, Ratliff, and others... Wade hasn't found one of those yet
RainMan;2207456 said:I do think we'll miss Bill's talent evaluation down the road. I don't necessarily see it as a hit this year, but three years I think we could feel it.
For the person that criticized Parcells above, well, yeah, of course he had some huge -- HUGE -- misses. Everyone does. But he provided us many, many mid-to-late round contributors.
Guys like Crayton, Reeves, Nate Jones, Ratliff, etc., etc., etc., are pretty darn good late-round picks. We'll see if a guy like Erik Walden or Alan Ball can stick around as long as players like those (heck, Crayton, Reeves and Ratliff are all about $20 million-plus players now).
ejthedj;2207446 said:Good point, but I am worried about the Walden's and that TT lineman and Ball, etc.--they got no shot. In late rounds, Bill was golden
Brandon;2207474 said:Yeah, right, our #6 receiver will play with the game on the line, you're a joke. You think 1st and goal from the 10 down by 7 we will send out our 5th receiver(Who originally was 6th but due to an injury gets promoted.
Oh, and I would like to add that the majority of our receivers are under 26 years old, and by the time T.O retires we will have either signed a free agent WR or drafted one in the first round. So there goes that argument.
On to line backers, you're saying all of our four starting linebackers will be injured at the same time, for the same length so #8 will get a chance to play? Nice try.
And if you love Bill so much go cheer for the Dolphins and post on their message boards because you're threads blow.
EDIT: Walden has no shot? Um, he wasn't drafted to play this year, he was a DE at a small school you ignorant chew toy. He's going to be a practice squad this year learning the position of OLB in the 3-4. My lord you pay attention to nothing.
