Not sure that there is bias calls among different teams but do believe there is bias among calls on or for certain players. Esp. certain QB's

Do we know what crew we are getting? How will you all feel if its Gene Steratore and we are playing the Packers? I for one will not be looking forward to it.
I've been a coach for a long time, every crew is different some look at calls differently, its human nature. Coaches have scouting reports and game films of each crew and should coach their game accordingly. At this level and with this much visibility there is no rigging games. It may seem that way sometimes but its just plain old mistakes.

The hit was way after the ball had left his hand. It was still a low hit. If this had happened to Rogers, Brees, or Brady a flag most definitely would have been thrown. Tony has been hit late so much it is really a shame.

He couldn't see that the ball left his hand because he was falling down trying to tackle him. He had no choice but to go low because he was falling down from a low block by Murray but still hit Romo in the thigh area. It wasn't even close to a cheap shot.

I don't think it's rigged but people also love to see the Cowboys lose. That is part of the attraction. The league also strives for parity(though there isn't much IMO), the salary cap was created partially because of the success of the 90s Cowboys.

Think this through. No team guarantees better ratings. The league makes massive amounts of money related to TV revenue.

Are you really suggesting that the league would show bias because "people love to see the Cowboys lose?"

Yes, let's give the people the Cowboys loss they want. We don't need the ratings in subsequent weeks!

That seems a brilliant plan for running a successful business.

So explain the technique the Back Judge in the last playoff game we had was displaying by watching Clay Matthews spear Romo in the back of the legs.....
Or Line judge Terry Brown calling Dez' a catch and down by contact and a judgment call gets overturned by Dean Blandino sitting in a NY office with Giants owner John Mara. Remember that Blandino had also been embarrassed by the TMZ video showing Blandino getting off the Jones' party bus. Don't ever try to convince me that wasn't dirty by the VP of Officiating who just so happens to work for the NFL. Yes there is a known bias in the NFL.

Boston versus NYC would also bring massive ratings.

The NFL has been doing quite well with their playoff/SB ratings without the Cowboys involved. Once again I don't really think the NFL is fixed. Too many people are involved to make it happen. I'm sure the NFL has preferences though and a holding call or a PI call can really change the outcome of a game.

I guarantee you that nobody in the NFL front offices wants a ATL/KC Super Bowl with all of the juicy storylines Pitt/NE/NYG/GB/DAL can bring. If anything, the Cowboys might be a team of preference this season considering how their success really bailed the NFL out of a ratings slump.

Just watched it and that wasn't a cheap shot because Matthews was blocked low by Murray and was stumbling down and had no choice but to go low on Romo to disrupt the pass. He didn't purposely go low or try and target him low, the block by Murray caused him to go low, plus he got Romo more in the thigh area than the knee. Murray appeared to go at Matthews knees.
the ball was out way before the hit.

So because he couldnt see the ball its not a flag? Come on man

No one gets better ratings than Dallas.

You can't say they done well in playoffs/SB ratings without Dallas as you've got so few comparison points. We simply don't know what ratings would look like with Dallas in.

We do know that four of the five highest rated games this season involved Dallas. So that gives a pretty good idea.

Ok, that's fine I thought you were one of those who were claiming it was a "cheap shot."
ID agree with you that it was a late hit, maybe a little cheap, but not blatant. However my argument was how can a back judge see that and not throw a flag.

It was a judgment decision, it could've gone either way. The official probably saw that Matthews was going down and couldn't see when the ball was thrown. It was very close and that official chose not to call it. Had the Cowboys won that game we wouldn't even be talking about it. There's a lot of things that happened in that game that we wouldn't still be talking about had we won.

Yes. That's the point. It was a judgement. It was inexplicably poor. There is no way a reasonable and unbiased person could miss that call.

That's the real point. Of course many calls are missed, but how could a call so obvious, even to a beginner, be missed.

And no. There is plenty of evidence that we will discuss bad calls after a win. Check this season.
