Our home crowd is pathetic

The game was 100% on the players, but why does it seem like our home crowd is so pathetic? Opposing offenses have like, what... five false starts for the year in our home? I don't think the Giants had any last night. There's a reason we don't have a great record in Cowboys Stadium and there's a reason the Giants are 3-0 here. Compare our crowd to a place like Pittsburgh or Green Bay... there's no way the Giants would have looked so comfortable on offense in those places, especially on their final two drives.

Maybe it was loud there. But with how comfortable offenses look in our stadium and how teams never get a false start penalty (unless it's us), it makes me wonder. It's amazing because the Rangers have some of the loudest, most supportive fans I've ever seen. I guess Cowboys fans are a different breed.

They sounded loud at times to me. But everybody keeps complaining so I guess not.

It's not that bad. They were 6-2 in their first year, last year was just a bad team full of quitters, and they were in position to be 7-0 this year if not for 4th quarter meltdowns. The defense is just bad at home or on the road so nothing can be done there but it is evident that the offense is much better at home.

I think part of it may the Dallas crowd, but it's a very spacious stadium, that has a lot of open areas, and doesn't really trap the noise well. Plus, there are a lot of things to distract from the game itself (monstrer screen, dancers, etc). It feels more like a party/club atmosphere most of the time.

I remember Darren Woodson trying to teach the fans when to be loud years ago. It's embarrassing.

I agree with statement one. The one lone exception was the Eagles playoff game in 2009. That was far and away the loudest I've heard the new stadium. It was deafening in there that night. Guess we just need an important post-season game to rise to the occasion.

Statement two is hogwash. It has nothing to do with the building. It has everything to do with the laid back fans.

They're just a laid back group of people. They don't possess the piss and vinegar you see with the East coast crowds.

It is what it is. I don't ever remember having a home field advantage in my entire life as a Cowboys fan and it's even moreso now with the new stadium that was built under the watchful eye of a guy who never puts football over his own ego.

I was there first hand and trust me 96,000 was into it, but it's hard to get up and fired up about third down when yor defense routinely takes you right outta the game.

After the 4th third down conversion of a drive it's hard to get pumped.

Blame the team, give us something to yell about, don't just expect us to go crazy all game while you're letting a team stroll down the field at will.

Meh....as per my above post.... any fan base can bring it in the post season. It's how they are in September or, in your example, April that is the true test. April in Fenway Park > april in arlington. Just a fact.

It's not an intimidating place to play. It's not like going into Philly, Pitt, Oakland or I dunno what to really say about NFL crowds. They just aren't hostile like going to a college venue. The crowd knows when it's time to make noise and sustain it. It's really not the same come bowl season, since there is an allotment that doesn't allow full home field advantage. I've been to Autzen though and that place will make you deaf.

Yup, I used to live in Maryland and I loved the Ravens fans. A ton of blue collar people who knew how to get ridiculously loud. The whole stadium would stand up on 3rd down and yell like they were mad. You go to the Cowboys stadium and a lot of fans just sit there and don't scream or yell or anything. They are there to be entertained and that's it!

My seats are on the 1st row in the end zone where they dance.. their sweat hits me in the face sometimes.
