Great, another projected seventh rounder that would've still been on the board in two hours.

This draft is en route to being a full-blown disaster.

Projected 7th rounder by who? You need to step away from the couch scout draft sites.

dude. There are reasons he's still around. I have no idea who is a good pick on the OL here. That's a place for a scout to judge or someone who's seen film and knows what he's looking at. I think any good pick on the LOS is a great draft day pick for us right now.

Now I know why they keep trading down - the guys they want couldn't possibly be taken in the 2nd round.

So was William Moore yesterday. That's what drives me up a wall about Jerry. Like we don't need a safety? What the heck?

Mayock seems to really like this guy. They will kick him over to guard and Houck will take his time and develop this kid slowly, ala Ron Stone. Best football seems to be ahead of him.

CBS says:

Run Blocking: Might not be explosive out of his stance, but plays at a good pad level. His knees are a little too bent to redirect, but his shoulder pad level rises with power when trying to sustain movement throughout the play. His best attribute is his ability to down block and with his lack of ideal height and his bow legs, moving him inside to guard is expected at the next level. He finishes with good balance and has the lower body strength at the point of attack to root out a linebacker and widen the rush lane. He is a powerful straight-line blocker, who delivers a strong punch to shock and jolt. GRADE: 7.3

Pass Blocking: When working in-line or in unison with tight ends and guards, Brewster does a good job of keeping his head on a swivel and his arms inside his frame to sustain. When he is isolated on the edge, his bow legs and poor hip snap are evident in his inability to mirror the quicker pass rushers. When his feet stop or he gets too top-heavy, it opens the backdoor and leaves his quarterback exposed. He can kick and slide, but is better pass protecting inside, where his lack of explosion can be covered up. He is very active with his hands, though, and can dominate vs. slower bull rushers, as he uses his hands well to control and steer away. GRADE: 6.4

Compares To: DARYN COLLEDGE, Green Bay -- Brewster has a low center of gravity, but like Colledge, he might be better served as an offensive guard, where his short pulls, low pad level and hand punch will be more effective widening the rush lane. Lacks the explosive first step or lateral mobility to handle speedy edge rushers, but he is a tenacious blocker who plays with aggression. At this time, he looks like a better interior prospect than playing on an island at tackle.

He's staring a lot of teams in the face and nobody is picking him.

It's obvious that the team feels good about Sensabaugh, so all the safety-fanatics need to chill.

I like the fact that this guy was a 4 Year starter, and he's smart, and no off-field issues. Other than that can't really comment on how good he is or will be. This 2nd day has been weird.

Another capsule of Brewster from some site I've never heard of. Sounds like he may be a guard not tackle:

Overview
Three year starter at right tackle who has loads of experience and poise.
Ran better than expected at the NFL Combine, solidly planting himself on the bubble for being drafted.

Strengths
Huge guy at almost 6-5, 325 pounds. Has great experience at the right tackle position, with three and a half years starting. Powerful guy who attacks the pass rushers with a hunter's ferocity. Solid footwork, and a decent quick step give him a chance to go up against some of the quicker pass rushers, but still generally was given help with a tight end or fullback. Very good at run blocking, and stays with the play even when Davis was scrambling around.

Weaknesses
Very slow and has below average athleticism. Can definitely not ever be a left tackle prospect and it's questionable on whether he can even play right tackle at the next level.

Projection
Very experienced with good fundamentals, however many doubt whether he has the polish and athleticism to play tackle in the NFL. He can always move over to guard if need be. Should be gone by the end of the 7th round, but may go undrafted.

He'll press McQ, you can never have enough OT's
He's only 6-4 and will likely get a look at left guard.

We selected him 75th and he was 81st on Goose's top 100, so we didn't think he would last until the fourth round.

Hud is on with Spags, says he's a versatile player who really likes to play the game. He really enjoys it, he's a good knee bender who can play tackle and guard.

I would have preferred Antoine Caldwell, who just went 77th to the Texans, he's a C/G (85th on Goose's board) who would have made Corey Procter an unhappy memory.

Maybe we'll get Dallas Reynolds late.
