Let's get it started. Obviously we're all smarting over the current state of the offense. Will Dak survive? Only Dak knows. We shall see... That said, who, in college right now, is your standout guy that wows you?

For me it's Will Grier.

I figured I would start something in here @WillieBeamen since they moved your thread to the DZ.

Warming up to Grier. Don't think we'll land in the top 3 to pick Herbet and i doubt they'll package the picks required for him. Could see Grier fall to the 10-12 overall picks if not further. Combine will help or hurt based on his measurements

Been clamoring for Herbert since before it was chique. He's still my dude and it's not even close.

Grier and Lock both look more like great athletes to me, more than good QBs. I want someone who has anticipation, reads the field pre and post snap and isn't afraid to pull it down and take off. Grier and Lock fit some of those, but only Herbert checks off all the boxes. If we are in the top-10, I'm ok with whatever package it takes to move up and get him.

I see Grier closer to the back end of the first round. All the defensive talent and the rise of a few WRs will push him back. I don't think he's anywhere near ready for the NFL. He's got a lot of Paxton Lynch in him.

Ok, I'm making myself watch more Grier tape atm. He looks much better than he did last season. His anticipation and ball placement are significantly better. I might not be completely against him. I still think he slips to late teens at the earliest though.

I have been watching more of this kid the past couple of days and he is pretty impressive. I’m just curious about his suspension

A year in PED purgatory

https://thelab.bleacherreport.com/a-year-in-ped-purgatory/

Ligandrol was not on the list of banned substances. But we came to find out—after our appeal to the NCAA—that it was added in August of that year. So I feel like I was given a year suspension for not telling the trainers what I was taking, and if I did tell them, they would've told me then that it wasn't on the list.

Editor's note: Ligandrol was not specifically named on any NCAA banned list until 2016-2017, but each year the NCAA's list of banned drugs clearly states, "Note to Student-Athletes: There is no complete list of banned substances. Do not rely on this list to rule out any supplement ingredient. Check with your athletics department staff prior to using a supplement." NCAA spokesman Chris Radford told Bleacher Report, "Ligandrol has never been allowed. Any substance that is chemically related to the anabolic agents class, even if it is not specifically listed as an example, is banned

Looking forward to watching Herbert tonight against Cal. It will be the first time for me to see him in action

Will Grier - 6'3 217
Justin Herbert - 6'6 235

Will Grier - 6'3 217
Justin Herbert - 6'6 235

I wonder how correct this is I remember when I was in high school I was always listed at 6 - 3 when I was barely 6-1

Will Grier - I say 6-1
Herbert - I say 6-4 1/2

but who knows

Drew Lock, senior, Missouri. Lock, who’s 6' 4" and 225 pounds, was a Division I basketball recruit coming out of high school. He can make every throw, but he has yet to post a season with a 60% completion rate. Some scouts are comparing him to Josh Allen, which is both good (Allen was uber-talented and a Top 10 pick) and not good (he was panned for accuracy issues).

“He’s been a one-read quarterback strictly, with a good arm, and accuracy that’s very poor on short and mid-range throws,” one AFC scouting director said. “He throws a good deep ball, he’s weird that way, like a guy that’s just really good off the tee. The short game is what he’s lacking, struggles placing it, and he struggles if his primary receiver is covered. But he’s big, good athlete, and this is a big year, because he’ll do some pro-style stuff.”

Derek Dooley, Mizzou’s new offensive coordinator, spent four seasons with the Cowboys, and his pro-style background should help scouts get a more complete picture of him. “He’s got incredible arm strength, he’s an awesome kid, he’s a learner, he’s a leader, all that stuff,” Dilfer said. “He’s just played in a system, like Bryce Petty did, where they just don’t learn a lot of football. That’s until this year.” For what it’s worth, word is that Lock looked great throwing it at the Manning Passing Academy in Jun[/b]
