Our o-line is amazing, but we still need a good RB

Yet, only Larry Allen is in the HOF. And none from the 1st Super Bowl. How great were they again?

I said great, not all HOF worthy. Erik Williams would have been HOF worthy had he not had the car accident. As for great, watch A Football Life The Great Wall of Dallas,

Yep. Mark Tuinei was an undrafted defensive lineman. Nate Newton was an undrafted journeyman from the USFL. Stepnoski was a 3rd round pick. Gesek and Gogan were vagabonds. Erik Williams was a 3rd rounder.

The greatest offensive line ever was hardly pedigree.

Good points. Tuinei was already 30 by the time Emmitt joined the Cowboys. He established himself as a decent LT, but was nothing special. Once they surrounded him with better parts the view of him improved. He made his first of back-to-back pro-bowls in 1994, which I thought was strange because he didn't play that well that season. I thought that if Erik Williams had not been involved in his car wreck that Dallas was gearing up to replace Tuinei with rookie Larry Allen that 1994 season.

TJ Yeldon in the 3rd could may be able to get those tough yards as Murray did. But how would he be otherwise.

i apperciate wanting/seeking a replacement for Murray, However our journeyman-defense haslf been depleted by journeymans leaving the Cowboys and we need other journeymans right now.
So how can we justify burning high draft picks (rounds 1 through 3) for a RB (to replace a project with one who ran for 1,800 last year; thx Jerra) and especially when our Defense is on track to be subpar this year instead of adequate last year?
