Our offense needs a change

It needs a change. Watching Chicago I know it's early but the eagles and all their defensive backs are rendered useless with two tight end power running. You can pass out of those formations with a te offset in Phillips and Witten and a wr on opposite side. I think we got to flirty with constant three and four wide sets. We have a dynamic back. Pound it and use play action off of it. That would be my change. What would be yours?

Keep dreaming. You would think that all the years playing with Emmitt would have taught him something.

A #3 or #4 deep threat WR that can just run vertical routes a la Torrey Smith. Would also help if they were a beast in the return game too. That's gotta be addressed in the draft.

Exactly. We could air it out when we wanted but we lined up and smashed you in the mouth and then used play action to hit Irvin, Harper, and Novacek.

Personnel. There's nothing wrong with our scheme or playcalling.

Our redzone playcalling is at best undeniably questionable.

I don't think it is at all. What you see as a play calling issue, I see as a personnel issue. When the field shrinks, the line of scrimmage gets more crowded and our weaknesses get exposed.

How many WRs does this team need?

Not only do they need Miles and Dez but they also have to have a guy with elite speed just to run downfield?

That's all well and good, but a fake dive pich play from inside the five isnt a personel issue, it's a stupid arse playcall. Going five wide on first and goal from the four isnt a personel issue, it's playing into the defense's hands. And I'd wager we are the only team in the NFL this year to run a double fake screen from inside the five.

I'd start by giving Garrett a raise and a contract extension. I'd promote him again if possible, but he already got that. It's important to continue to reward a coach who knows exactly what he's doing as an OC. We also need to change personnel constantly bc they are the problem when things go wrong.

Would you continue to run the ball out of a two TE set when you were down 3 touchdowns?

Is that not true for everyone? No team is without their weaknesses. We have our fair share, but second worst in the NFL? That's unfathomable with the players we have on offense.

That's a dumb question. Of course not, but if you run and control clock and have a good play action pass game then you don't get down by 21 in barely over a quarter

Stick to your guns on this, because you are right and he is not.

No. It's not true that every team has a weak offensive line.

But every team has a weakness, right? Your great offensive line team might not have an all-timer at tight end like Jason Witten or an athletic freak at wideout like Dez Bryant or a dynamic run/catch threat like DeMarco Murray. EVERY team has weaknesses. Let's not act like Garrett is out there calling plays for the little sisters of the poor.

Trust me, I'd much rather it be a personel issue than a playcalling issue. Personel are much easier to change than a coach's mindset.
