Our offense

No way Wentz would have done as well as Dak, not even a chance. Would he have done better than he did in Philthy? Absolutely. Better than Dak? Absolutely not.

Dak has something special and extraordinary in his favor that I'm not sure any other QB in the league can match. By that, I'm referring to an ability to affect men in such a way as to gain their complete confidence. He has a rare knack for leading and motivating them to greater performance and support. It has everything to do with his magnetic charisma and mindset. Make no mistake -- Dak possesses these intangible qualities in spades. Being a leader of men is something that is invaluable to any QB and his team. It has a tendency to specifically set one well apart from the rest.

Could never understand all the hype about Wentz. Playing small college ball with a championship team his whole time. And the team was winning before he came and is winning since he left. No real change so far. As regards Goff, I still think he might have a higher ceiling but certainly a lower floor.

Both quarterbacks have things to work on, but Prescott is clearly ahead at this time. Who knows if playing for the Cowboys would have made Wentz better or made him worse.

Wentz played terrible last season. He looked lost at times and had no smarts in crunch time. Time and time again he threw a pick in the last few minutes of a game when his team needed a FG to win he chunks it deep. Wentz was the definition of dink and dunk and had no accuracy past 15 yards.

Dak was superior in every way shape and form. Wentz doesn't have nearly the IQ of Dak and isn't even close to Dak in the clutch and leadership abilities.

i agree with some of that, lets see how 2 more seasons roll out than we ll have a better bench mark.

I don't disagree with we still don't know cause 1 season never made a career but we aren't talking potential we are talking what both players did in the time they played......no need for hypotheticals. Wentz could be out the league in 2 years just as well as still be a starter it goes both ways

Agreed, Dak's greatest asset is he has a good head on his shoulders. His academic achievement will serve him well in this career off the field.

Wentz would've been really good here but Dak was all time good for a rookie and I can't project that for any rookie QB.

It seems laughable to say any other rookie would have performed as well as Dak did last year, since basically in the history of the game no rookie has ever performed that well, down to an advanced metric level. Also, I don't think people give Dak credit for basically being a mature pocket passer - there was zero gimmick to his game.

Exactly. Wentz obviously would have been in a better situation but you can't just say outright he woukd have had the season Dak did.

It must be great to just throw stuff out there like this. With zero accountability. It's something that can never be proven one way or the other, so why bother talking about it? I guess if you can't bring anything tangible or relevant to the table, you get your digs in with nonsense like this? That's all that well-known Cowboys haters like Heath Evans are good for anyway. It galls him that the Cowboys were great so he gets his shots in talking about the unproveable.

The first problem was listening to anything that clown has to say.

But, ultimately, would you want it any other way? Obviously not.

So, if we're happy, who cares what anyone else thinks?

Cowboys killed it in the draft, hit a home run that might yet turn into a grand slam, and the rest of the league, and haters like Evans, have to deal with that reality.
