Without Collins and smith does anyone think this current lineup of rookies and young ins could ever develop into a solid oline?

We will find out in the next 3 weeks. Chase Young and Alabama Boys, Fletcher Cox and Eagles defensive line, and finally TJ Watt and the Steelers. I will pray for Andy.

It will be good experience for them, and maybe someone will step up

Theyve been much better than I would expect

but that doesn’t mean theyre good

they just arent a complete dumpster fire

I think the young offensive lineman are exceeding expectations right now.
Knight has the talent and technique to be an NFL starter.
Steele has the size and so far has been holding the fort down. Very good for an UFA. Potential is there and he will get stronger next year.
Biadasz is looking good so far. He can make all the calls and looks very good for a rookie with little preseason. I do not know if Looney gets his job back.
We will likely see what McGovern has. Against AZ he looked ok. I didn't notice anything glaringly wrong with his game.

If for some reason Tyron Smith and Collins are not back next year, I would be ok with Knight, Williams, Biadasz, Martin, and Steele along with some draft picks. What I am saying is that I would not panic if these were the starting 5 next year.

So...same OL as Dak had except for LT, center, and RG. We should score 40.....yards

Nah

Biadascz might be solid but Steele and Knight are garbage.

Id look to find an upgrade at the LG spot and find/draft a competent swing tackle in the 3rd that can possibly fill in for Tyron in a year or two

Steele and Knight are back ups not garbage

I think there is some pieces to work with there....gonna be some growing pains. We just need to get these guys into their correct spots so they can jell...seems like this staff is reluctant to move guys. Conner Williams...has failed repeatedly @ LG....yet we just keep trotting him back out there. Try him @ tackle...where he played in college.

we are going to use Martin outside and things will calm down

Way too many people giving up on young OL just because they arent pro-bowlers from the get-go, which is ridiculous.
Biadasz is promising and could turn out very good.
McGovern has only played a bit. Who knows?
Knight struggled on Monday, but has been pretty good, at very least has the tools to be a good swing, maybe a future RT or G?
Steele has struggled, but he has been thrown to the lions den, maybe a future swing tackle?
If we can get our vets healthy next year, we could be back to a very good OL with good depth in 2021.
