By now, everyone knows the story behind last year's season ending loss to the Rams, and how they were able to run for 273 yards. They knew what the Cowboys were doing and schemed to take advantage of that. They knew Rod Marinelli's alignment tendencies and tells and ran all over the Cowboys as a result. Their own players came out and confirmed it.

And now we have opposing players saying the same thing, except now it's coming from the other side of the ball.

The Cowboys went from scoring 32 points a game to 10. And the Saints went from a questionable defense to looking dominant. One big reason? Just like the Rams, they examined these Cowboys and found tips and tells that helped them to know what was coming.

This team's pro scouting - and specifically self scouting, sucks, and is a major liability. Opponents can repeatedly find out this information about us, but not only can't we do it to them, but we can't even realize and eliminate our own.

It's a huge disadvantage and a clear and obvious shortcoming of this entire coaching staff, starting at the top. And Red doesn't get to deny it any longer.

Wait Jerry said KM is a offensive guru, are you saying it took 2-3 games to figure out his high test offense. I jest, not sure how the rest of the season plays out but if this keeps up it will not be pretty.

I'm saying that both of our coordinators - Marinelli and Moore - have tells that give opponents a distinct advantage and are putting our team at a distinct disadvantage.

Identifying things like this is the job of Advance Scouting.

And guess who just so happens to be the "Head of Advance Scouting" for our Dallas Cowboys? One Judd Garrett. Yet another Garrett, incapable of doing the job they've been gifted, hurting this organization as a result.

It's time for the two families to discontinue their business relationship, for the betterment of this team.

I thought Judd got reassigned somewhere. He's still in charge of advanced scouting? LOL.

Jeff Cavanaugh on the Fan said our DT’s try to crash so fast in that they just pick a gap and go. Meanwhile the DE is looping around the edge to kill the QB. That creates a monster hole anyone could run through. The LB’s also play too close to the line like we are playing the wishbone or something I noticed.

As I stated last year teams are using our aggressiveness against us and have figured out a way to burn it.

It’s really no secret. Most of the more sounder fans in this forum are aware of our weaknesses and strengths. No reason all teams aren’t. The difference is not all teams have the talent to carry it out.

Cowboys are weak up the middle on defense and on offense shut down the run and force Dak to make plays over the top. And if you pressure Dak he’s more apt to make mistakes.

That's what you're getting out of this?

There is a Garrett that is Director of Advance Scouting. Enough said.

Garrett believes proper execution trumps all. So yeah, he wouldn't care if other teams knew what plays we were running; he'd just expect us to beat them anyways.

Makes no sense, but this is a mute issue because it's not going to change.

Because he is following the philosophy of the 90's where the cowboys were stacked with pro-bowlers at every spot. So yea, it didn't matter if you knew what was coming you couldn't stop it. But he's trying to recreate that with Tyron Crawford, D-Law and Heath.

We really can’t expect our LB’s to stop 300+ OL.

The real tragedy is our DL we’ve missed on two of our top picks in last 3 drafts . And losing Gregory a big hit. DLaw doesn’t look 100%.

Some of us critics argued in offseason DL could be a problem but Homers rejected it.

about Moore, Witten states...

“I think one of the areas he really shines is in game,” Witten said. “His ability to make adjustments, see what they’re doing and then countering that. It showed up in the Green Bay game.”

When the Packers stuck to man coverage despite their sizable third-quarter lead, Moore queued up plays for star receiver Amari Cooper, who powered double moves to a career-high 226 receiving yards. When Packers cornerback Tramon Williams shadowed receiver Michael Gallup tightly late in the third quarter, Moore and Prescott didn’t hesitate to trust him on a go route on second-and-4. Gallup muscled the ball away from Williams and powered through cornerback Josh Jackson’s leaping tackle to earn a 40-yard touchdown.

...“[Moore] kept adjusting to what they were doing,” Witten said. “And down the stretch, when you play against the best teams, the ability to adjust as a playcaller and as players in game and say, ‘Yeah, OK, our film study said this, but we’re seeing something different?’ That’s the chess match.

well, are you surprised? what did you expect? I have said it all along, Moore is going to get schooled by few coaches along the way. you don't go from the bench, to QB coach to OC and dominate. every NFL coaches has had to earn their stripses and take their lumps...this is for Moore...he doesn't even cover his mouth when he calls plays, compared to EVERY OTHER coach in the NFL...… that is Garrett's fault. he should as the HC tell him, just do it. be paranoid. and now he is learning that in the NFL, with the billions involved, people have the resources and will look for anything to have a slight advantage and pull out a game, like a 2 point win....Bilicheck did it by recording the oppositions practices and has won and lost several close superbowls…...

Old News. GARRETT SUCKS!!!

But really, all the Rams did was expose the weakness in our defense. right up the middle with our DT's and our safeties. Jaylon Smith Also can get washed out when lineman get to the 2nd level.
