Some of us have . It’s time for everyone to stop buying into his hype . It has nothing to do with reality of our team.
People still take him seriously?

I literally don’t listen to a word he says. He could say whatever about a season and it would have zero difference on if I feel like the team will be good or not. I learned that a long time ago.

Math and he's done nothing for the Arkansas educational system ranking of 49th.
I must admit his 1+1=3 is priceless. Lol

This is our GM, our leader and face of Cowboys Football. And some still take our football operations seriously.
Wow just wow .

But it totally confirms what many of us have been saying for years . For this I thank him.

He was asked on 105.3 the fan if his optimism is the same it is every year. His response was unique.

Jerry is always overly optimistic at the start of a Football season.
You just have to know that's how he rolls.
What bothers me, is that he expects things to go perfectly and gets caught unprepared.
Swing Tackle this offseason is a prime example.

Right

Being overly optimistic as an owner is to be expected but not as GM who needs to plan for worse case scenarios and report factual data not his hopes.

And why wearing both hats while being the spokesperson for football operations it’s a conflict of interest.

Fans could be led to believe that everything is fine when actually there are real concerns.

So, you believe it’s proper protocol for our GM and official spokesperson for the Dallas Cowboys to mislead the public to simply hype his product?
It’s just not a big deal. We all know not to listen to Jerry’s overly optimistic takes.

Stephen, McClay and everyone else has put together one of the more talented rosters in the league. Primarily because they are one of the best drafting teams in the league. There’s plenty to like here… but anything that comes out of Jerry’s mouth just goes in one ear and out the other for just about all fans.

Glad Jerry is optimistic, but it falls to the team to make it reality. Coaches and players need to make it happen using the personnel they have.

Ok…so either I am having a massive stroke, or Jerry is making zero sense here. I am impressed with anybody who is able to interpret that nonsensical, word-puke from our fearless GM/Coach/Personnel Guy!
I must admit I’ve never seen the 1+1=3 used before . But he’s basically saying he doesn’t have to accept the reality that 1+1=2.

And he’s translating that to promote his product. It’s a con game to him.

Sell or make promises you believe have more than you actually do. Similar ploy as we see with elected officials running for office.

He understands that when looking at the players and coaches objectively, the team will probably fall short. That is the realistic and objective side. 1+1=2.

He can't do that. He needs to pray for the moon shot and promote the hell out of it for business reasons, despite what is right in front of him. 1+1=3

That my interpretation of his babbling, anyway

No one can tell what the heck the guy is trying to say. I mean there are guesses… but that’s all they are. Guesses.

Nurses for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients call it “word salad”. They say a whole lot but you don’t really know what it is they’re trying to say.

When you hear Jerry… just think Word salad because that is what it’s becoming.
