AC is straight beat up, barely making it through a game , we are missing Gallup and AC at 50% is a concern.

Thus far, WE managed to cover it up but that could change,

We need Gallup back asap.

Don't think for a minute that the offensive gameplan the last 3 games being more balanced and some more run heavy is because of the 2 wrs being banged up.

also concerning,

anyone notice Lamb not getting all the 1-1 because of this, looks rather pedestrian..

having all 3 of our starting WR matters..

We will need them to keep the threat of a 400 yard passing game alive. if not they will stack the boxes more.

You can bet on this, these next two teams will in fact do all they can to sell out to stop the run.

Lastly,

Lamb IMO is being exposed a bit, he's not beating double converge like AC can or beating the best cb following him all around.. if he cant, is he a future #1 ?

yup controversy thrown down;

Lamb is underperforming in my opinion. How about Punt Returns, hes definitely no dez at this point and that fact, when dez was our #1 and healthy, the dudes had 3 straight stats seasons in row that were ridiculous. not bad for 50- 50 ball guy who cant run routes , note sarcasm..

Isn't the measure of a true #1 WR is being able to keep the big stats when you are the focus of the offense and get more DTs or have the best cb on you all game??

What if our run is completely shut down and we have to pass and become one dimensional without Gallup and healthy AC, will we get exposed?

We might...:huh::popcorn:

When you are running the ball as effectively as the Cowboys are, WR numbers are going to drop. Also, the ball is going a lot more to the TE's than in recent past. Shultz and Jarwin have been productive.

I'm not worried about Lamb. He hasn't had the opportunities yet. There is only one ball on the field at a time. If defenses start focusing on the run game by stacking boxes, Lamb will get more chances. He just has to stay focused and take advantage of his opportunities when they come about.

The run game was non-existent in the Tampa game. But the offense still moved the ball and scored points. I don't know if we will face such a stout run defense as we did that night. Teams will have to pay attention to Zeke and Pollard. That should open things up for Lamb and others

yes but since then AC is hurt and Gallup gone,

my scenario said what if they shut down the run game , will out dynamic pass game still exist?

I mean we know our hot rod sitting in the garage for a while used to go run fast but what if while sitting the gas got stale something went amiss?

we haven't tried to go all out in the pass game since the TB game really..i believe it has been Gallup being gone and ac injured.

so when the opportunity comes will Lamb be able to shine..

im not so sure. right before the half last week that last offensive series was bad, passes were off , routes looked bad ie timing etc..

Not concerned with passing game. Dallas has used the run because defense choose to play back and yet Dak still hitting 75% on the season. Dak spread the ball around hitting 5 different targets and 4 of those players Cooper, Schultz, Wilson and Jarwin all caught TD passes on the game. If NY wants to shut down the run and bring a safety up, I welcome it. Bring it on

I laugh every time I see a trade Gallup post. You can never have enough talent at any position, just one play away from next man up.

And no, Cedrick isn't as good as Gallup or he would have already had the job.

Can't wait until Gallup is back, we'll be an even better team.

IM betting most who saw this title, thought it was a Dak thread..3

surprise IT WAS NOT LOL :flagwave:

I agree. Now if someone wants to make a big offer great I would listen to it but as things stand right now, the most important season for this team to concern themselves with, is THIS SEASON, not next year or the year after. I look forward to getting Gallup back when he is ready because I think he can help us a lot as we head into the 2nd half of the season. Meanwhile others are stepping up and making plays that are coming their way. Dallas has shown they can run the ball and have shown they can attack you with the pass.

Gallup will be back after the bye week and Cedrick Wilson has looked pretty good.

We have seen the running game shut down in Tampa. The offense scored 29 points and should have won that game against the champs.

The game in NE will be very tough. Belichek will test this offense. Dak will see things the Patriots haven't shown before. That's how Bill operates. How Dak handles that will go a long way determine just how good the offense is.

We are not going to win every game. There will be a time when the offense will struggle to move the ball. It's going to happen. Doesn't mean it's not a good offense or the players are not good enough.

Panic thread?
AC is ok, as we have not had any negative reports on him this week. CeeDee was game planned for it seemed. He will have his big games.
Wilson showing something out there in place of Gallup.

The Schultz - Jarwin combo looks really good. Then they can use Brown and possibly Turner since he is back.
Pollard can line up in the slot, and the screens to Zeke can be deadly for defenses at times.

Moore just needs to keep the hot hand and figure out the best game plan for these defenses.

BY Far a better thread then the ratings, rankings, and overreaction negative threads over wins that were too close at the end..meh

Nope Friday food for thought, nothing but a discussion. If and when the Run game is shut down,,

im curious how that Ferrari that sat in the garage a long while wont have stale gas in it and get exposed..

AC is more then banged up hes maybe a decoy at this point not his old self that wont be missed by opponents Defenses and Lamb can then be followed around by the best CB while others taken 1-1 i was just curious how that might look very soon..

he has a rib and HS injury him sitting out quarters and coming in for 2 lays here and there, thats a decoy brah
weve seen that act before..just because hes not missing complete game he barely productive. If we dont have the run game to support this and really need the pass to open it up and carry a game right now like the next 2 weeks sans gallup..im saying im bit concerned..

Me too.

They are getting turnovers which is great, but they are also giving up tons of yardage.

If the turnovers dry up, this defense will have problems.
they go hand in hand

say the next 2 games, if this becomes a shoot out our pass game can it hold up? banged up ac , cover up Lamb and no Gallup??

and Dak just need to continue to go through his reads and find the open man. No need to force the ball into any WR or TE. I think some are getting back to looking at individual stats as opposed to team stats. We have seen enough empty records broken in Dallas now is the time where the entire focus needs to be on the team doing what they need to do to win games.

I definitely look forward to getting Gallup back, but Wilson has filled in just fine. Add in our two TE’s and we’re fine.

First, Cooper is always hurt. Throughout his career he has been nicked up one way or another. He also disappears in games, maybe because he is nicked up or maybe because the other team puts the focus on him. That's why it is important for any team to have multiple receiving threats.

I think not having Gallup does hurt the Cowboys more than we have seen. and like you I do not believe CeeDee will ever be a true #1 receiver. That doesn't mean he cannot be a dangerous weapon. With Gallup at WR2 and CeeDee in the slot, the Cowboys passing game is much better than we have seen since Gallup got hurt week 1. I like what we have seen from Wilson but he is no Michael Gallup. Gallup gives them that deep threat that defenses have to respect. We have not seen that from Wilson or CeeDee yet.

I think this is a huge game for Dallas again. Obviously, it is a divisional game at home, but also, the Giants had a big win last week. They will be on an emotional high. They always seem to play Dallas tough, especially in Dallas. If the Giants should beat Dallas, I think it could give them an enormous boost of confidence. It will be good to give the Giants the same treatment they gave the Eagles.
