"We just knew there were some things we could do to their line, some stuff they were very susceptible to, and we broke it all out tonight. We brought pressure, and they couldn't handle it. Not at all."
-- Antonio Pierce, Giants linebacker

No matter who is QB, OL play like Monday will keep us under .500. No doubt in my mind. The play that comes to mind is the Safety, when MICHAEL STRAHAN came through the line without being touched and got to Bledsoe on his third step. Mind blowing, this o line is far inferior to last year, I can't believe that's what I think.

But the most disappointing thing about this team stems from the last game of last season. Going into the game, the Cowboys knew that they were out of the playoffs and completely gave up. I see it happen every time a team throws a punch and we just curl our tails under our butts and squirm away.

This Parcells team is soft. Soft mentally, soft physically.

Gurode played good. As a matter of fact I believe he is the sole reason we have been running the ball better.

There are OL coaches who can make chicken salad out of chicken duty. We need to find one of those real quick. Sparano should be canned tomorrow.

Well the points I'll continue to make....stemming back to the glory days of the Championship/Playoff teams of the 1990's

Two things:

  • A strong dominating offensive line
  • A mean defensive from 7 with a no prisoner mentality
Boys and gals we are missing both of those!

Hmm I think Gurode has been playing fairly OK, nothing really to write about though....

My comment comes from the fact he doesnt get pushed back and at least holds his ground. Al would get pushed into Bledsoe. That allows the RB's a little more room to do something.

What we need is a QB who gets rid of the ball quick and punishes teams for blitzing like that. I think Romo will.

Fair enough, I just think Kosier is nothing more than a backup really and Rivera is sorry as they come right about now!

Gurode has been solid. Kosier has been ok to solid. The Hotel is dead meat against any speed, Rivera is just dead meat period. Columbo has been pretty decent- but he is inexperienced and a HOF DE schooled him.
Yank Flo for McQ or maybe Fabini and put in Proctor over Rivera.
