Our receivers cannot separate

Dez was bad last night.

But don't call people out and act like you weren't in the chatroom giving a million excuses for Dak.
Actually... I was amazed at the lack of attention to what was happening before our very eyes. Something even David Blaine would have found incredibly impressive.

We have a tremendous opportunity in front of us and this mental slippage by our experienced guys cannot be tolerated. Period. I actually expected the exact opposite out of Dez last night. An outspoken performer that commanded attention to make the lives of those around him easier. Got nothing of that ilk.

Witten doesn't slip. Dez has no excuse.

Brotha, I'll just say that I strongly disagree with your take on things.

You can spin it however you want to.

The Brice drop didn't hurt us as we scored on the next play.

But man, talk about disappearing acts. What was up with Dez? Totally taken out of the game.

Dez does seem to struggle with separation, I mean you notice a lot of his great catches are jump balls or at least well contested

Perfect reason to give them a dumptruck of cash and let them sit out of camp and pout???

Are you surprised? Dez is who he is. Can't separate. Can't be counted on. Knows only a few routes. Not even close to a top WR.

Sometimes you gamble in free agency and it pays off. Janoris Jenkins has been a beast all year. Completely locked up Dez all game. For the second time this year. This allows NYG to put DRC on Beasley which kept him in check. Outside of Denver, probably the best CB duo in the league.

This is odd, in our games against the Rams Dez has always did very very well against Jenkins.

Could be coaching. He always had the physical ability to be an elite player. Looks like he is closer to realizing that potential.

I disagree and think the offense will be fine.

We all just need to take our medicine as everyone has wanted this team to lose forever and to have NY do it when most of the national media guys are giants and eagles fans makes it worse but i don't think we have turned into a bad team overnight.

I think the wr are a good group and will be fine.

Would be good to renew this discussion after Tampa Bay...

If Dak had Romo's accuracy that defense would have been shredded. They played zone a couple of times and Dak couldn't get the receivers the ball. A couple fell at their feet. Yes, Giant's played good D in the secondary. Dak is a rookie who needs to work on accuracy.
What was Manning's excuse? A rookie had a bad game, a two time super bowl MVP had a bad game. Romo would have been in the ER last night.

The reason we cannot convert third downs is that our receivers simply cannot separate from coverage. Other than Beasley and Witten underneath. But when teams like the Vikings and Giants who have top #1 CBs who can man up Dez, and press our other receivers underneath, none of our receivers can separate from coverage. We really need an Alvin Harper type who can get deep and make a catch (Brice with another drop).

So have we established yet that no one agrees with you?

Eli Manning is not very good, plain and simple. You are gonna use him as a measuring stick for QB's?

Romo throws receivers open, Dak throws to open receivers.

It's easy to tell that Dak is afraid to make a mistake. Sometimes you just have to trust yourself and your receivers. He's wanting his receivers to be wide open before he lets it go. As a result, he's holding onto the ball way too long and is far too indecisive. He's a rookie.

I'll use the situation at hand at that stadium. Neither QB could do anything. And by the way, Manning has two Super Bowl titles with two Super Bowl MVPs. The only difference last night was their WR vs Ours. There's made a play, ours fumbled. But the QB play on both sides of the ball was absolutely terrible.
